「Very friendly staff at check in and at the restaurant. Great location for walking our dogs. Being on the Columbia river watching tugs, birds, geese and ducks was magic. Very very quiet」

My wife enjoyed the quality of soaps and amenities provided. The bar/restaurant onsite also had some great indian food and friendly service. We hope to get a chance to stay again and try the outdoor pool when the weather is warm.」

「We love this hotel. The lounge areas are very comfortable and stocked with games, books, and a beautiful chess set. The rooms are fresh and attractive and the beds are comfortable. Lovely breakfast room with excellent breakfast choices. Helpful, friendly staff. Adjoining Wild Sage restaurant/ bar also very good. 」

「John Day sits about 80 miles from the nearest city of any size. It has limited overnight choices. The Best Western, while nice, costs the same as the Best Western at Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris. This is John Day, folks. Dreamers Lodge, while not the newest or fanciest motel, is very nice, clean, safe, easily located, walking distance to restaurants AND reasonably priced. This is our choice every time. 」
