This was a newly renovated classic old (1890s?) beautifully restored hotel right in the heat of Baker city. The restoration was was completed with amazing detail even included period chandeliers purchased from the Versace family. We were seated below the massive stained glass ceiling for dinner, stunning. Rooms were nice, full of amenities and quiet.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. However...an incessant, unending humming in the HVAC system left me with a headache the next morning.

The property is quaint and has the feel of the era it wishes to emphasize; late 1800s early 20th century. I liked my stay and would again. Room was clean and comfortable. I ate in the bar because the dining room was not large and setting was already reserved; no space for a lone diner. No issue with that. I enjoyed the bar and bartender. It had an old west vibe. The bartender was very good. This really is a hotel for couples.

The hotel staff including the restaurant were excellent and very polite and friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. Best nights sleep in quite awhile. Restaurant had excellent food and service, it is a bit pricey. Breakfast is available but again $$. Highly recommend staying here. Thanks for a great stay, Alan and Kim Atkins
