The Erewash Valley was a key industrial site, with the canals and railways linking here, plus at least one colliery by the Erewash River. This bridge used to carry one of the railways linking the canal, the colliery and the main rail network.

Sadly the friendliness and helpful nature of the staff cannot excuse some of the basic fundamental issues that I have experienced over the last few stays at this hotel. I decided to stay here as I am a keen swimmer and the facilities here are great in that regard. Unfortunately I seem to be unable ...

Pretty hotel. We had a wonderful stay in room 121. The suite had a beautiful 4 poster and the bathroom a huge roll top bath. We visited the spa and had an excellent breakfast. Lovely stay. Will return.
