Overall the property served the purpose. We just realized that our families have grown and needed more room. This is definitely a place to stay if you are on a fishing or hunting trip. The amenities were more than adequate and if you are looking for firm bedding then this is the place for you. The screened porch was awesome especially in the morning.

Beautiful and so soo quiet!

This cabin was everything we could have hoped for! It was clean and well stocked and had the most beautiful decor. My husband and I wanted a week away from the city sounds and lights and we got it! There was plenty of dry firewood for the indoor fireplace as well as the pit outside. We really enjoyed the swing on the front porch where we spent every night looking at the stars and listening to the crickets and frogs. We would definitely rent this property again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet woodsy getaway!!!

excellent cabin overall.

screened in porch was nice as well as the front porch with swing. cleaning lady didn't do her job well however as she left a large garbage can filled with empty beer cans on the screened in porch. The porch smelled like a bar that had beer spilled all over the floor. She also left a kitchen garbage can full when we arrived. Rest of cabin was nice and clean however.

Great cabin and get away.

The pictures are true. The place was very clean and I loved the interior. It's an excellent north woods cabin with all the modern conveniences. The beds are great and I think they might be tempur-pedic. Just a heads up, there aren't any closets to hang up your clothes but, that is a minor thing and didn't effect our stay. We plan on returning. We loved it.

Lake Holcombe vicinity, western central WI

The Cabin was clean and well equipped. Firewood plentiful. What I would have appreciated was a local map designating restaurants, stores, etc with their comments as to prices and quality, mileage, and hosts & tenants comments. Fishing information, boat rentals, etc. was not provided. Walls were littered with 20 or more stuffed dead animals which was offensive to me. No lighting suitable to read by in LR or BR. Ceiling fixtures were glaring.

Great location & peaceful surroundings. No Wi-Fi kept us from contacting the manager with questions or concerns but overall a good experience. Would recommend new pillows for the bed in the single room and a wood friendly cleaner for the dining table (it was too sticky to use for card games or just to set items on).

A good place to get "back to nature." We enjoyed the cabin & it's peaceful setting - didn't even realize there were several other people staying nearby thanks to the trees. Would suggest new pillows in the single bedroom & a different cleaner for the wooden dining table (it was super sticky and made for a bad place to play games as well as set anything on!). We would've stayed longer if we'd had the time!

Very relaxing weekend.

We enjoyed this property very much. Great outdoor space for our young adult children to play lawn games etc. and enjoy a nice fire. The central air conditioning was a blessing. It took some of us a bit to get used to the taxidermy but grandpa enjoyed it the most seeing all of the “trophies” displayed around of past hunting experiences. We loved the leather reclining couches. It’s refreshing to come to a VRBO and have furniture that feels so clean. Just a personal preference but I don’t like fabric couches at rental locations. I don’t want to sit there very long or can’t relax. But this location was great! Thanks so much!

we were impressed with the overall state of the cabin. But had big issues with the communication or lack of regarding our stay, from the owner and the original contact person from the website. We expected to have more phone contact from the owner, as time drew closer for our arrival. we had to call them. the cabin itself was nice. But would have been helpful if the host or contact person had more info about the area locally. she owned the cabin which was within minutes of several marinas with rentable boats, and she had no real info about renting one , so we had to go about it on our own. the grass around the cabin needed to be mowed, the website picture showed a well cared lawn, ours was not. . also kitchen table needs to be redone. sits too low and frequently scraping our legs on the bolts sticking out certain spots. the cabin overall was nice. thank GOD for AC. Also, we had issue about the locking of the front storm doors and sliding doors. we went to lock front storm door, and we were unable to unlock it. there fore we could not use the front door entrance for the entire stay. we had no way of locking them from the outside, so anyone could go into the cabin, while we were gone and take our belongings. As much as we would like to return to the area next year, it was too stressful with the booking process, confirming, and trying to access the emails for confirmation and such. M Bridge.

Bed was super comfy. Clean but could use some plug ins or candles . Place has a musty smell to it. Kitchen table very uncomfortable to sit at. Could use a picnic table outside! Other than that a nice rustic cabin! Amazing places to eat at nearby. Teds timberlodge and East bay my favorites.
