“We had a great time at our stay at the Eco Village. It's a beautiful property with lots of fruit trees planted on it, so we loved taking a morning walk to see them. The units are close to each other, but we felt that there was still good privacy maintained. There's no kitchen to cook food, but lots of great restaurants in Hilo. ”

“Incredibly good deal for the price. No elevator but my unit was a mini apartment with sofa bed, kitchenette stocked with utensils, cookware and real plates and glasses. Fridge/freezer was much larger than the under counter units in bigger chain hotels. There was even a washer/ dryer. Better than an Extended Stay in that regard. Hotel manager was easily accessible by phone to answer questions and deal with a complicated booking situation. Got it resolved quickly and extremely favorably. Parking……

“This was one of the coolest rental properties I've ever stayed in. We were fortunate to arrive while Joshua was still there, and he gave us a tour of the property, highlighting some of the features (architectural, art, etc) that he and his wife have loving put into this rental. The house was so well equipped, we were sorry we didn't have many more days to stay and enjoy the property; from the games, movies, beach gear and fully stocked pantry, every detail has been thoughtfully……

“This place has no A/C and nowhere on the description does it list this. I came to Hawai'i to be comfortable, not stiffled nightly by humidity. The owner refused a partial refund for a 2 week stay after I expressed not wanting to stay here. I didn't expect a full refund, but at least half would have been nice. Never again using this app or service.”

“May not be a fair rating but this is based on my unique experience at the cottage when it was hit by Kona storm. I had no water, power and internet for the stay of two nights at the cottage. Although the condition was out of the control by the owner, later I knew from other people in the town that they were told one or two weeks in advance of the potential outages due to storm. Would appreciate more if I was told of the potential outages in advance. ”
