「The River House is a beautiful property. It is a gorgeous log home with the Susquehanna River as the backyard. The home was very clean and comfortable. The entire property is calm and relaxing. My husband was able to fish right on the river bank which was one of the main reasons for this trip. We also enjoyed the hot tub. We would definitely return for a stay in the fall. Thank you!」

「Stayed with family to celebrate birthday. The house and property were beautiful, clean. quiet and peaceful. Sitting on the porch and seeing wildlife was an added bonus. And the big soaker bathtub - wonderful! We would definitely love to return! And the short drive to Knoebels was great!」

「Black Diamond Retreat was a wonderful place for a family gathering. Both indoor and outdoor areas were spacious and gave everyone room to spread out and wander. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit every evening and playing corn hole and bocci outside as well. Even though it seemed we were away in the middle of nowhere and very quiet, town was only a short drive away. Some of us did take and enjoy the Yuengling Brewery tour. 「I grew up in Shamokin so I understand most of the homes are historically old and many are row houses. The host does a wonderful job of making the home feel welcoming. Loved the decor and fun layout. The bathroom is large and clean with great water pressure; that's always a bonus. ;)」

「House was exactly what we were hoping for. Plenty of room inside and out for activities. Game room downstairs was very nice with pool, darts, fooseball table, and a large tv. The outdoor space was perfect for hanging out or simply enjoying a fire, or drink on the deck. There is a trail right behind the house that you can hike up. House was super clean. We would for sure go back.」

「We were looking for a one night stay in Danville at a reasonable price. The Red Roof Inn exceeded our expectations. Room was spacious and clean. Service very friendly. Close to Route 54 so there is some traffic noise but not noticeable with A/C on. Only a few minutes to Danville and 25 minutes to Knoebels. 」
