Staff were lovely, although we had a few issues with the room. 2 broken plug sockets, one of which had caused an electrical fault and was covered in soot, the other with a broken plug still inside it. The Hot plate would take 90 minutes to cook anything. The shower leaked across the floor and one of the radiators was broken. I was supplied a bread knife for general cooking, which made food preparation difficult.

Loads of space and great location.

Have stayed a couple of times now and have just re-booked. Great location, within a super easy walk to the tram, loads of bus routes etc. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Check-in is easy, too.

The hotel is in a lovely location and close to transportation. It is a beautiful historic building on the outside, but the room desperately needs updating, i.e. curtains, carpet, kitchen, furniture, etc. The weather was warm when we were there and it was suffocating inside, especially since the window didn’t open.

Marvellous veiw of edinburgh castle from the hotel window. The room was lovely and spacious had everything you needed and the kitchen was a bonus. I would definitely stay here again and woukd recommend to friends and family.
