It’s a nice, historic property but rooms could use some updating. Staff were very friendly. Not a great location if your trip centers around Old Town and the Royal Mile. It’s a good value property if you don’t mind walking 15 min. to where the action is.

Request a room in the main building rather than the annex…4 stars on some aspects rather than 5 due to staying in a small basement room in the annex- that needs to be defined more in the advertisement. The staff was lovely and very helpful. We loved the room, it was spacious and beautiful. The only thing we would’ve enjoyed more is the light in the room, could’ve been a little stronger, it was very dim, but I know many people like it that way, especially in Europe.
