It’s a nice, historic property but rooms could use some updating. Staff were very friendly. Not a great location if your trip centers around Old Town and the Royal Mile. It’s a good value property if you don’t mind walking 15 min. to where the action is.

Request a room in the main building rather than the annex…4 stars on some aspects rather than 5 due to staying in a small basement room in the annex- that needs to be defined more in the advertisement. Great location and staff was very helpful. The only thing I’ll mention is our room was right by the stairs and it was very noisy early morning and late evening. Not a big deal for us as we were early risers. But if you want to sleep in occasionally, you might want to make them aware.
