Cozy residence on Lake Sara

Accommodations were good. Pool was well maintained and our kids had a great time swimming in it, despite the rain all weekend. Residence seems to be in a quiet area of the lake. Only drawback is the wifi did not reach through the entire house. We would definitely like to stay here again and would highly recommend.

Great Get Away Spot

My family and I stayed here for a sewing gathering and the set up was perfect! Kitchen was nicely stocked, everything was clean and the location was beautiful & quiet.

Holiday Getaway

Spacious home with lots of living and outdoor space. Large kitchen was great for hosting holiday meals. Master bedroom has a lovely,spacious jacuzzi tub as well. Appreciated the added holiday touch! We enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous place

Tracy’s place is top notch. From the heated saltwater pool overlooking their Lake Sara inlet to the walk in showers and amazing kitchen this place has it all. We played backyard games, fished and grilled it was everything 4 buddies could need to celebrate a birthday. Thank you Nick

A nice little getaway.

The house had a great set up. The pool by far was our favorite. The kids loved fishing but I was a little nervous because the dock area is pretty outdated along with most of the outside furniture but my family still have a great time! Would definitely rent again.

Very nice pool, outside area could really use a cleanup at the boat deck area and the deck itself could really use an update for sure. The Hammock is not in a very good spot at all. Ok place but personally didn't think it was worth the money... had better for cheaper price

Great getaway.

Easy check-in process and even greeted by a friendly cat at the front door. The boys loved the pool and my son had a lot of luck fishing off the dock. Pefectly located retreat to get away from the pandemic.

Beautiful location, serene setting. Owner very responsive. Only one minor issue of note and it was resolved immediately. I would recommend this location. Also very accessible to anyone with Mobil issues.

Pleasant Week

We feel the inside of the house was well stocked and maintained. However, There were no dish cloths available, very few wash cloths and very few Kleenexes. The furniture here was more comfortable than other places we have been. While we enjoyed the deck and other outside spaces, we feel the deck railings, deck chair cushions and the boat dock area would benefit from being updated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Long weekend on the water's edge of Lake Sara

Beautiful scenery with all of the full length windows facing the lake, very relaxing. There is an abundance of outdoor seating and gas grills for outdoor cooking. The interior seating was abundant and comfortable. Would definitely suggest this home for having a wonderful week/weekend on the lake. Also would like to share that Effingham has all of the usual conveniences that you would expect in a much larger city and everyone was very friendly and helpful with your inquiries.

The pool saved the stay

This place has a nice layout, but it does have a few issues, like broken furniture and some maintenance upkeep The salt water pool was the best part of our stay. To rate this place as excellent would be misleading, but still we enjoyed our stay. The other issue is this Evolve vacation rental service is useless, absolutely useless. Could not answer one question. I don’t know why a property owner would use that service. The Firefly grill was fantastic! We will be coming back to Lake Sara this fall, but staying somewhere else.

Air Conditioning Does Not Cool House

The air conditioning in the house did not come close to cooling the home. It was 80 plus degrees most of the two days we stayed. Very uncomfortable! Otherwise the house was great.

Beautiful home.

The home and the view of the lake are both lovely. Furniture, appliances including washer and dryer are all in wonderful shape. The master bedroom has a whirlpool tub as well as a shower. The smaller bathroom has a walk-in tub which was a little confusing to learn to use. Everywhere you look there is another porch or deck to go relax on. We had wonderful weather and that made it a super nice visit because we got to enjoy the porches and patios. My husband and brother-in-law enjoyed the lake in the boat. The only downside of the whole beautiful home was the pots and pans in the kitchen. They were very beat up and we went to town and bought a couple so we could cook in them. So bring a couple of your favorite pans because the stove and oven are wonderful.

Family Gathering

The interior of the house itself was great. Very well stocked with almost anything you could need including games, kitchen items, towels, pool towels, shampoo and soap. The BBQ grill came equipped with utensils and a spare full tank of propane. The inside of the home is layed out well, clean and the A/C works excellent. The furniture was more like patio furniture however, so it could use a comfortable couch for watching TV. The pool was nice and was heated. It also has a motorized cover to keep out debris. However, the outside of this home was neglected. It was dirty and not maintained. There is overgrown landscape, weeds and many spider webs. The gate from the deck to the pool needs major repair. The boat dock was in need of repair also, and not very well set to tie a boat up to (needs bumpers and cleats). The tables and BBQ grill were dirty. The deck also had built up leaves in the corners. In spite of the condition of the outside of the home, this was a great experience for us, and we enjoyed it very much. It was an incredible family getaway in a very nice house, on a beautiful lake with a pool. I would come again - if they would have me after my candid review :)

Lake Sara in The Fall

We had an amazing time during our stay. House was nice and cozy for our fall getaway. Weather was beautiful enough for us to enjoy the pool. Lots fishing and relaxing. The house is well stocked with anything you may need.
