"We stayed at Nokomis with our family of 5 and really enjoyed our time there. The house was clean, uncluttered, and well equipped. We loved having access to the canal for fishing, the kayaks to explore on, and the pool to cool off in. The home has quick and easy access to many nearby beaches, a grocery store near by, and a selection of restaurants to pick from."

"Everything about this place was just perfect! The location is brilliant, close to the hustle of Englewood beach and a skip from the nature/splendor of Stump Pass, with bikes SUPs and kyacks to get you from one spot to another. The home owners were exceptionally responsive and the space was so thoughtfully equipped from beach gear to the finer details like travel size shampoos and extras. "This place was just what we needed to relax and unwind. We had breakfast on the porch every morning and drinks in the evenings as we watched the sun go down. Moochie came to visit a couple of times. We also saw him on the beach hanging out with the fishermen. The water was warm and perfect for swimming. There was a light breeze making it just right to sit on the beach and soak in the sun. "The property was absolutely perfect for our trip. We were in town for a two day tarpon fishing trip down road in Boca Grande. Little house with 3 bedrooms located almost in the middle of island between beach and bay. 2 min walk to each. Very clean , and comfy. Parking was tight but no big deal. Highly recommend if you need an affordable place and you don’t have to be on beach or bay front."

"I wanted to surprise my mom with a getaway. She loves the ocean and we wanted a special family vacation that everyone could enjoy. This cottage was perfect! The place is so cozy and comfortable. Not to mention the amazing ocean view and sunsets. The host thought of everything, and was really communicative to make sure we had all we needed. Highly recommend! A wonderful location."

"The room was wonderful, beautiful views of the bay and beach. However the floors were filthy. Management needs to hire a tile cleaning company to professionally clean the floors. The dust mop method used by the hotel staff does not work. If you walk aroung barefooted in the room your feet WILL become black."

"We were looking forward to this trip, as well as the hotel, but I was initially put off by its 3 star rating. When we arrived, I was so pleasantly surprised at everything about this property! Parking was a breeze, and was plentiful. The location was ideal, and the area was beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful during check-in. The room was perfect. Large, neat, clean, well maintained, and with everything from bedding and towels to carpeting, furniture, and fixtures in PERFECT condition. We did have to leave the wall mounted air conditioning unit on non-stop to combat the heat (we went in June), but it kept up fine and made the room a pleasant escape from the heat. The pool and hot tub were in perfect condition and very clean. The desk even had beach chairs, umbrellas, and shark tooth sifters to borrow for free. The breakfast was basic - fresh pastries from a local shop, yogurt, fruit, and coffee - but everything was delicious. We would highly recommend this hotel, and if we go to Venice Beach again, we will definitely stay here again!"
