“We loved this house not far from Mt. Rainier. It was quiet and very beautiful. Getting in the hot tub after hiking was amazing. The town of Elbe is only a few minutes away and had a couple of stores to pick up some basics. Make sure you check out the Mt. Rainier webcams before you go to the park. We woke up to a very cloudy day at the house and were going to cancel the Skyline Loop trail but saw on the webcam that the clouds were breaking up there so we went ahead and did the hike. “Everything was perfect! The nice surprise was that the bean bag opened up into a bed! It was very cozy! We had a great time, I only wish we could have stayed more nights there! ”

“The house was adorable on the inside and had everything we needed. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of some safety issues with the stairs. The steep stairs to the attic lack a handrail and the older members of our family didn't feel comfortable going up there. I was nervous about our 2 kids going up and down those stairs as well. The 2 sets of steps leading from the kitchen and dining room into the living room are scary too. The second step is short and the edge is curved making it……

“First, the water smells like rotten eggs. It is well water full of sulfur. That should not be used except for flushing toilets let alone for bathing and cooking. The entire cabin smelled so strong with sulfur 24/7. It’s disgusting. Second, this is not a two bedroom cabin. It is one bedroom and a living room with sofa bed. I am disappointed especially given that I paid almost $570 per night for three nights. It ruined my family vacation.”

“The cabin provided an excellent getaway for our family vacation. Our six year old loved the board games and the novelty of the loft, but we were uncertain if we were allowed to use the playground at the park for members down the road. Overall we had a great stay with lots of short and sweet adventures that the whole family enjoyed. ”

“We stayed for two nights and could have stayed many more. Becky and Gary were the most wonderful hosts in the world. Chelsea was quick to respond to questions and helped us plan our hikes. We will definitely stay again if we come back here. We highly recommend this place.”

“Pros:- Great location- Super peaceful neighborhood - Beautiful nature - Had all necessitiesMeh:- Not the cleanest- Silverware, plates, and cups had food bits or residue and had to be washed before using- Cobwebs on lights - Tub doesn’t drain well at all- The house has definitely been smoked in, though it smells older like it was years and years ago. It would have been nice for that to be disclosed as we have a child with Cystic Fibrosis and this can irritate his lungs even if it’s old or stale……
