“Hotel is no frills and serves its main purpose. Our check-in experience was ok, room was clean, a/c worked and our bed was comfortable. Plenty of parking and close to supermarket. The front desk needs staff present at all times. Although there is a bell to ring for someone, upon check-in hours and later in evening, and following morning, no one is at the FRONT. Always have to ring bell and eventually someone appears. Neon paper signs taped up in lobby area is a bit tacky. Breakfast is very……

“We travel a lot for business and stay in hotels throughout the state of Maine and this hotel was by far one of the worst we have stayed at. The hotel staff was beyond unhelpful. We got into town an hour early and asked if we could check in early - they said they would charge us an additional $50 for early check in. I have never had a hotel do that. There amenities were lacking - no microwave in the room, the only tea they offered was plain lipton. Everything was the cheapest they could get away……

“Property was very nice could use a little update but then the prices probably would be more. The front desk staff was excellent.”

“I have been traveling through the Portsmouth, NH area for a few years now and have stayed at the Anchorage Inn and Suites. It has steadily declined in condition. While there has been promise of much needed update and remodel for years, it has not happened. This will be my last stay. The room was worn beyond acceptable. Smoke alarm hanging from the ceiling, holes in the walls, an unpleasant odor and an elevator that sounds like it is in need of help. No amenities. I understand the old……
