「This is the cutest little place! The owner was great and their store next door had local grown meat from their farm. It was delicious. It’s very close to the river, so nice views down the street. We loved that the owner refurbished this place from the old laundry mat. Very well appointed. 」

「The house was spacious and clean, and well suited to our needs. We really enjoyed the back porch and the beautiful views of the sunsets. We spent a lot of our evenings playing games on the game table, and playing air hockey.We would recommend this house (and the hosts) for anyone wanting to stay in the area.」

「Pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The unit had everything needed. A nice kitchenette fully stocked for preparing meals. Comfortable seat with fireplace and TV. Beds provided great sleep. Whirlpool in bathroom was a plus. Back porch right along Ohio River. Enjoyed sounds if nature and barges going up and down river. Very restful and relaxing. 」

「We had a great time this weekend hiking around and coming back to the cabin and building a fire. The TV worked great for when we were going to bed at night. The kitchen had what we needed to cook a fine meal. I would definitely book again in the future.」

「This is a wonderful farmhouse surrounded by cornfields: all the peace and quiet you want, but within 15 minutes from whatever you need. The house was clean and well-equipped, and the hosts seem to have thought of every detail to make your stay a pleasant one. We also loved reading about the history of the house and its previous occupants! Great experience all around. 」

「My mom, sister, and I stayed in this adorable house because we were exploring Shawnee National Forest. The property was located close to many beautiful natural attractions such as Garden of the Gods. This place was well stocked, clean, and owner was quick to respond to messages. 」

The home was perfect for our gathering but perhaps the most perfect part of the home was the yard and the creek!! Southern Illinois held so many hiking and waterfall adventures. I’d highly recommend checking out so many hidden gems in America!!」
