We loved our stay here for our base for exploring Acadia. It’s a little drive to the park but so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of bar harbor. There’s a little nature preserve with trails right down the street for after dinner walks! This place is near some wet areas so bring bug spray if you plan to walk there or sit outside. This place had everything you need and nice space to stretch out after hiking all day. Really the only thing that would help it to be perfect is the AC setup. There is AC but it wasn’t turned on when we arrived so it took the place a while to cool down. Despite keeping the door open and fan on, the cold air has a hard time making it into the bedroom. Maybe it’s not as bad during the busy season if AC stays on, but maybe a standing fan to blow cold air into the bedroom would be helpful. Otherwise, this is a lovely place that’s well stocked! We went to the little farmers market Saturday morning which had a tuba and a few vendors by the harbor. We saw a bunch of seals here!
