Entspannung pur - Casa Esther

Wir wurden sehr gastfreundlich empfangen, herumgeführt und es wurde alles ausführlich erklärt. Während des gesammten Aufenthaltes hatten wir immer einen Ansprechpartner vor Ort, unsere Vermieter haben uns all unsere Fragen beantworten können und haben sich zwischendurch erkundigt, wie es uns geht und ob alles in Ordnung ist. Sehr gepflegte Anlage. Supermarkt, Strand und Restaurants gut und schnell zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, daher 5 Sterne!!!!

Few things to know before you book!

We booked 3 expensive weeks in a Villa for complete privacy...sadly we did not get this. Owner, Rafael, very sweet but in out out of our space far too much. Would appear several times a day...Even used our "private" pool whilst we were in it!!! and actually told us to go to bed one night, when we dared to stay outside til midnight!! Privacy? What privacy? Villa well equipped but very basic and really needs a little makeover. Linen package was very expensive for old and tired towels etc. Says that they have an outside BBQ (little one on wheels) but they don't like you using it. Property on a main road. Loud traffic night and day. Outside patio area very dark in the evening. Only 1 little light. Pool lights didn't work due to an overgrown tree that was worked on while we were there! Clean pool but needs a makeover. Had to pay extra for your electricity...small ineffective aircon in bedrooms. However, beach very close and local restaurant "Hero" very good. Need a car to get to supermarkets and into Denia. We would return to area again but our romantic, costly 3 week, private getaway was not up to expectations. Real shame for us.

Übertraf unsere Erwartungen.

Die Ferienwohnung war wie beschrieben. Die Vermieter war sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Meer und der Pool machten unseren Kindern und uns sehr viel Freude. Danke an die Vermieter für alles.

Logement très bruyant, situé au bord d’une route très passante.

La maison est située au bord d’une route très passante, beaucoup de bruit jour et nuit. La maison est vraiment chez les propriétaires, pas moyen d’avoir d’intimité. Les toilettes étaient en panne dès le premier jour et n’ont pas été réparés. Le lave linge n’est pas raccordé, Il faut payer l’électricité à la fin du séjour... Seule la piscine était agréable. Le prix de la semaine est beaucoup trop élevé pour le niveau des prestations.

No privacy at all or a quite time to relax

Unfortunately we rented this property, and from the description and email correspondance with the owners we expected a quite and private place for our family vacation. We left the property within 48 hours and wasted preciouse family time. From the website, the location was suppose to be the 3rd house away from the main road. However the house is placed next to the highly busy and noisy main road. When you are outside, you will have to stop your conversations due to the noise. However, this was not the worst thing about the "house"...the owners lived on the same property, and they can see the pool area from their livingroom. They told us that we would have the place to ourselves and that the pool area was only for our family, but they used it themselves. Furthermore, if you want to have turned on the pool light at night - forget it, unless you want to start an argument with the owner. The best thing about Denia Villa Esther was when we left the place!!

A little gem in Denia!

Our hosts were very friendly but not intrusive. Property was spacious and nicely furnished.There is a well stocked supermarket a few hundred metres up the road with buses running approximately hourly to town. The sandy beach is a 5/10 minute stroll away.We had a nice trip to the weekly market and coffee with the owners Helma and Raphael.This was our first villa holiday however although there was a pool it was shared.That aside we enjoyed our stay & would go again.

Beautiful villa, fabulous pool, lovely people!!

Helma and Rafael are a lovely couple who made us feel so welcome and the bungalow was perfect! The pool is gorgeous and our kids loved it! The local beach is lovely and literally a few hundred metres away. The restaurants in the area were great and Helma and Rafael recommended places too. Denia is not far away and we spent a day there on the beach and the kids spent some time out on an ' inflatable island' in the sea which they really enjoyed! The weather was hot and sunny and our pale Scottish skin was shielded from the hot sun by Helma and Rafael's beautiful palm trees! This was our first holiday abroad in several years and was a great experience, we totally recommend it!
