Check in was easy and accept cash which was convenient. Breakfast is available for extra but there is a coffee machine in the room. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A fan in the room would be helpful.

excellent place to stay

this is our third stay at this hotel .the rooms are spacious and clean .every member of staff are friendly and professional .the hotel is well situated for all transport hubs and town shopping area . bar and public area are well maintained .an exellent place to relax .during the summer months there is outdoor seating on a sheltered patio.some rooms have a small kitchen area which is well equipped. we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and the staff were freindly and attentive ,making us feel at home .looking forward to returning

There must have been a change in management. I stayed at acora Bochum before and it was fine. Now, the place seems run down and the room was dirty. The bed smelled bad (old man smell) and the coffee machine had old pods in it. Also, the room was super hot (although it was not hot outside) that you could only sleep with the window open. But there was construction somewhere and it was really noisy.

I like this hotel

Firts time in this hotel but I liked it. Big room with a small balcony where two people could sit, weather permitting. There was also a kitchenette where you could ccok your own meals, a fridge and a microwave oven. Also tea/coffee-making facilities. All at a very fair price. I´m not sure all rooms are equipped like this - better ask when booking. Did not use the breakfast so cannot comment. In Germany, where you often have to pay an extra (high) price for breakfast, I usually go to a nearby Bäckerei, of which there are many, for a much better breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well. The main drawback was the parking facilities for which they charged extra, the parking spots were extremely small and even a midsize car was very difficult to find space for and then even more difficult to open the door. To drive out of the garage, you have to ask for a special paper slip every time you wanted to drive out, the slip being very flabby was extremely difficult to insert into a machine that was intended for card type papers. There was however free streetparking within walking distance. I did use the hotel restaurant once, reasonably good and at a fair price. The hotel is situated withing walking distance of the city centre, but remember that the centre of Bochum is totally deserted after office hours, no nightlife at all, due to the centre´s traffic regulations and absense of reasonable parking facilities.

Straßenlärm, kein Lüften möglich, Renovierungsarbeiten, der größte Teil der TV-Programme nicht verfügbar, lt. Rezeption der Fall da das Zimmer noch zur Renovierung anstand, werden erst nach der Renovierung wieder in diesem Zimmer verfügbar sein, es war ein größeres Problem eine für die Reiskostenabrechnung verwertbare Rechnung direkt vom Hotel zu erhalten, erstmal war die Aussage "geht nicht", Renovierungsarbeiten im Flur (Lärm hielt sich aber in Grenzen und die Arbeiter waren sehr darauf bedacht, dass sie keine Behinderung darstellten.

auf dem Balkon lagen noch Kippen von den Vorgängern und dort wuchs auch grünzeug aus dem Boden. Personal war immer total freundlich und hilfsbereit, Frühstück gute Auswahl.

Ab Hbf mit U35 Rtg Herne 2 Stationen bis Dt.Bergbau-Museum dann ca 7 Min zu Fuß. Sehr freundliches Personal, 24h Rezeption und Bar. Zimmer für DG sehr geräumig, abgetrennte kleine Küchenzeile, Tee od Kaffeepulver muss man selber mitbringen. Einziger Minuspunkt: keine Klimanlage, Zimmer war trotz eines Ventilators recht warm. Betrifft aber nur heiße Tage. Ansonsten optimal gelegen zur RuhrCongress Halle, in ca 25 Min zu Fuß erreichbar

Wir waren für eine Nacht im Acora Bochum. Die Lage ist relativ zentral, gute Anbindung zum Starlight Express. Das Hotel an sich war in Ordnung, das Frühstück war sehr gut, der Speiseraum ist modern eingerichtet. Unser Zimmer zur Straße hin war sehr laut. Das Zimmer an sich machte einen renovierten Eindruck, allerdings war die Betten und das Mobiliar alt und abgewohnt, was sehr Schade war. Badezimmer war ok. Ansonsten für einen Kurztrip gut geeignet.

Großer Renovierungs-Stau in diversen Bereichen; Zimmer 424: - Steckdosen-Rahmen neben Bett zerbrochen (-Sicherheits-Risiko) - Schreibtisch nicht vollständig zusammen gesteckt und verleimt (droht auseinander zu brechen) - Zimmer im Dachgeschoss bereits Anfang Mai sehr warm: schlechte Wärme- & Schall-Isolierung zur Straße; nur Gebläse, keine AC. Kein Insektenschutzgitter. -Keine Möglichkeit, Fahrräder in der Tiefgarage irgendwo fest anzuschließen. - Ansonsten alles in Ordnung
