Fabulous week in Estepona

We had a wonderful week staying at El Cortijo Del Mar, the apartment was clean, spacious and perfect for our needs. It is close to the main A7 road to get to visit the surrounding area but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. There are a few nice restaurants and tapas bars to walk to and supermarkets are close by. The parking was very handy to have underground. The only problem was too few sun beds around the lovely pool area. We would definitely return.

Wonderful apartment with small garden in a family friendly complex

We really loved our stay at the apartment and would have loved to stay longer. I am sure we will come back. The apartment is nice and the small garden really invites you to relax. It is perfect for couples as well as for families. The pool is not far away, but as it is not directly in front of the apartment, the apartment is really calm. During the summer there is a lifeguard at the pool the whole day long so you can let your kids (as long as the can swim) go there on their own. The pool closes between 8 and 8:30 pm. There is a nice bar at the pool where you can have drinks or meals. The menu has not much choice, but the meals are very tasty.

Great Apartment

Excellent communication from and he met us at the apartment. His wife checked us out. Really enjoyed the apartment. Good location , clean and well equipped. Highly recommended.

Second visit

A great place, well appointed and situated, stayed 31 days, only problem was the apartment above was being renovated and as such we were subjected to 4 weeks of noise with walls being removed, baths being replaced and floor tiles removed,this rather put a damper on a normally great place

Complete nice apartment at a beautifull park

We were nicely and kindly received by the manager. The manager gave tips on what to visit and good restaurants. The apartment was super clean and provided everything we needed. If we have to mention a minus point; the pool was always crowded, sometimes too busy regarding the COVID regulations. We visit mostly the beach. The owner can't do anything about that, so this was a minor detail for us.

Lärm und Lage

Wir haben ein sehr schönes, sauberes und gut eingerichtet Appartement erhalten, 1A. Leider hatten wir das Pech, dass während unserer 2 Wochen Ferien das Appartement über uns renoviert wurde. So hatten wir den ganzen Tag ab 08.30 Uhr Lärm von Bohr- und anderen Maschinen. Zudem wurde die Anlage aussen in Ordnung gebracht: Rasen mähen, Bäume schneiden, Laubbläser...Auch die Lage war unglücklich, alles musste mit dem Auto erledigt werden. Das Schlimme dabei war, dass die alte Autobahn zwischen Wohnung un d Meer lag. Die Ein- und Ausfahrten auf diese Strasse waren Horror!

Séjour à Cortijo del mar

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Cortijo del Mar. L’appartement est très agréable, fonctionnel, bien équipé & décoré et conforme aux descriptions. Il n’y manque rien! La résidence est bien située et parfaite comme le point de départ pour découvrir la région. Les commerces et les restos sont accessibles à pied. La résidence est très bien entretenue et possède des beaux jardins et une énorme piscine. Merci à Philippe, Peter et Carolina pour leur accueil +++

Comfortable relax

Great place to spend your holidays. The apartment is very comfortable and with good spaces, everything is in excellent condition and nicely decorated! The shared services (pool, restaurant) is great and we really enjoyed it. The El Campanario club with gym, golf, restaurant is very nice also with a great price. We have enjoyed the apartment and the area!

Great Apartment / Nice Resort / Holiday Makers Beware!

Overall this is a nice clean and modern resort. The apartment was very clean and tidy and came fully equipped with what we needed. It included Netflix and a safe. The air conditioning was nice and cold. It was an easy walk down to the local bars and shops. The owner was very friendly when we was booking the apartment and when the balance was due. In fact he sent me several reminders long before the balance was due. But after it was paid he didn’t seem to care. There was no check in information given so I had to chase him. Then there was no one to meet us at the apartment so the security guard gave us the keys and he barely spoke English. In the apartment there was no information booklet. So we had no idea what parking space was ours in the garage. We never once had the cleaners in over the 10 days. We had no idea how to work the air conditioner, and no information how to use the safe or access the WiFi. The next day we did have a friend of the owner come and sign some paperwork but he didn’t give us much information. And upon returning home I had to chase the owner for days to tell me when I would receive my damages deposit back. The resort is nice but the apartment owners make paying guests feel uncomfortable. I made sure I was by the pool by 10am to sit on beds as there was no way near enough for everyone. However if you left them for example to go eat and an owner wanted them, the lifeguard would take them and tell us there is a 20 minute rule. However I see owners leave for hours then come back with no problems. There was a lot of fly’s round the pool so don’t expect to relax. And no inflatables are aloud in the pool. So don’t waste your money before hand as the will not let it in the pool. In short the whole place was ok but not great. I hope the owner can take on what I’ve said so his next guest can have a less stressful time than I had.

Great appartment

It was a great place that was more than our expectations. We espescially liked the outdoor spot and AC inside worked very well. Only negative was the area around the resort, nearest restaurant/shop approx 500 meters away.

Nous avons passé en famille le mois de juillet 2016 à Cortijo del mar.(nous étions 2 adultes et 2 enfants) le site est superbe, calme et très bien entretenu. La piscine et le bar attenant sont très agréables et les personnels sur site (gardiens, maintenance, jardiniers, maître nageurs, barmen) sont très sympathiques. L'appartement est neuf, spacieux, joliment décoré et parfaitement équipé. Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances et nous recommandons vivement cette location. Une mention spéciale pour le propriétaire (M Levaque) qui a été très attentif et serviable et avec qui sont s'est parfaitement passé. bonne vacances à vous !
