“We have stayed at Alpine River Cottages many times over the years, and for a good reason. The location is central to both Bright and Myrtleford, without the business of either town. The cottages overlook the tranquil Ovens River, where in Summer you can swim and enjoy the natural surrounds. This time, we received a surprise, an upgrade to the new cottage—a self-contained tiny house with a view of the Mountain and the beautiful river. Warm and cosy, we had peace and quiet. I did not mind that the decore and furniture were old but the shower was really dirty on the base and bottom of the screen and a thick layer of dust on the skirtings. There we thick cobwebs on the outside of the kitchen window too. Place needs a deep clean by professionals.”

“It was a pleasant surprise to arrive at the facility which is surrounded by magnificent trees, gardens and the historical buildings that Beechworth is famous for. It is only a short walk into the Main St and lake or an easy drive, it was a pleasure to stay here. Although the room was very small it fulfilled my needs as I was a solo traveller”

No smoke detector in the bedroom, and stuffy air (no makeup air.) We couldn’t sleep, it was just a terrible disappointment.”
