What an absolute gem! We loved this historic hotel, and were appreciative of the very helpful staff. The unique room was full of charm, and the shared space at the end of the hallway was well thought. The café on the first floor was great with original era decorative touches, and a great view out the back.

Enjoyed my stay here. Understanding this is an older hotel it will not have all the amenities of a newer hotel, but rather the charm that mirrors the town. Staff was very friendly. Bed was comfortable and sometimes at the end of a long day this is ever so important as well as a quiet environment.

Unique nostalgic atmosphere. With river and trails out back. Has quirks of an old historic building but that is part of the atmosphere that would otherwise be unacceptable in a newer establishment. Part of the old downtown with unique shops and attractions within walking distance.

The Hand Hotel was a wonderful place to spend the night. My boyfriend and I did some geocaching in the area and the only bummer to this experience is that we did not encounter a ghost.

The first disappointment was this hotel is advertised as a Bed & Breakfast. Upon check-in, we were informed breakfast was for purchase only. This is false advertising & should be labeled as a hotel, not a B&B. There was no air-conditioning, and upon leaving the windows open for air, we had to smell smoke from people outside smoking.
