Our host was extremely hospitable from the moment we entered the property. Making sure we were comfortable with the accommodations and helping us bring our bags upstairs, our host was friendly and was very responsive with any communication leading to our stay. The terrace gave a beautiful view of the ocean with an exquisite view of the sunset. Some options for meals outside of the vrbo, however most restaurants found were attached to a hotel which was great! We did have to drive about 20 mins to find these locations. Just north of the vrbo, about a 20 minute drive is the small town of pizzo. A small beach strip was found with many resturaunts to choose from. Amentea was another stop of ours with some resturaunts on a board walk with a clear beach to swim in. Would recommend this place as a getaway stay!

We loved our stay with Cesare and his famil Gorgeous Luisa son Mario beautiful wife Anna. The apartment was spacious,clean Cesare provided sugar, salt,oil,pasta,🍝 tinned tomatoes 🍅 coffee ☕️ All the utensils needed for self catering. Luisa took us to the supermarket we stocked up and enjoyed our meals. The Bus 🚌 stop was a couple of minutes walk 🚶‍♀️And also the beach 🏖 The 🚌 took us to the villages were we explored the gorgeous country side homes 🏠 and restaurants 🍝 Our host was friendly, warm,attentive, nothing was too much bother, providing us with a list of places to visit their history foods etc. Very informative such beautiful souroundings warm Southern hospitality from the family we were given coffee ☕️ on our arrival Picked up from the train station and taken there when we left. Would recommend it as a typical italian old farmhouse just beautifully done by Cesare has taken him 40 years 😊 Well done Cesare to you and your family 😇 We will be back thank you for looking after us Lucy and Murray

What a nice stay I had at Antico Casale del Buono! From the solid oak trim and doors with heavy iron locks, to beautiful tile work throughout and a huge courtyard that invites your morning caffè or evening glass of wine. The area is not full of “tourist attractions”, just a great beach for long walks and “just enough” good authentic restaurants. Off the beaten trail, the Casale is the attraction in itself for days of relaxation. Cesare is a great host and will help you with anything; he is very welcoming and the folks you’ll run into in the community are warm and friendly. Cinque Stelle! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Host was extremely helpful & always available!! Willing to go out of his way to help us & gave us good recommendations. Often offered us special treats from his garden. Beautiful setting with olive trees and view of the sea. Large patio lined with beautiful flowers that allowed for relaxation and view of incredible sunsets! Very welcoming from check-in to check-check out! Apartment pleasant with everything one would need. Highly recommend & we thank Cesare for the opportunity to stay at his property.

Mooi oud huis, fijne kamer. Keukentje heel minimaal. Veel gemeenschappelijke buitenruimte, echter niet zo ingericht dat er genoeg tafels in de schaduw staan (of parasol) - dat zijn meestal lage tafeltjes met dekstoelen. Niet fijn voor wie aan een tafel wil zitten om te werken / lezen of schrijven. De beheerder was niet genegen daar iets aan te doen belangrijkste nadeel: veel lawaai, doorgaande weg loopt 50 meter onder het huis, en de spoorbaan (iedere 10 minuten een trein) daar vlak achter. Veel lawaai dus. Zee vlakbij, 700 meter of zo. Zeer lang strand van zand/kiezels, heel erg leeg, bijna niemand. Dorpje merkwaardig, doorsneden door de doorgaande weg en het spoor. Er is een cafeetje en een kleine supermakrt en een bakker.

Words cannot even begin to describe the incredible stay we had with Cesare, Luisa and Anna. We were part of the family from the very start and even though we had to use a phone app to help with translation, it was like we had been communicating for many years. As an idea, one night my brother and I were going to eat at a restaurant that both Luisa and Cesare had recommended, but, like typical Americans, we got lost and were barely able to find our way back to our property. When we explained that we had gotten lost, Cesare got into his car and he had us follow him to the restaurant. Like he hadn't already gone above and beyond, Cesare came inside with us, introduced us to Pietro the owner and from there, we were his special guests for dinner. On another occasion, Cesare got into the car with us and took us on a tour of his home village a short distance down the road. This incredible village built high on a mountain side and was unbelievable. Cesare introduced us to his friends who, of course, made us feel right at home. The only problem we had was that we could only stay for two nights, which in retrospect, was about 7 days too short. The property was gorgeous and immaculate and everything you could want from an Italian resort on the coast. Do NOT miss this opportunity to stay with Cesare, Luisa and Anna. You will never forget the experience. We ABSOLUTELY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND your staying here. We will be back, maybe even for a family reunion, which this property would be perfect for. Il casale e' incantevole. Ogni particolare della struttura dagli esterni agli interni e' stato studiato. Gli ambienti sono da favola. Basta saper apprezzare ciò che è bello. Cesare e famiglia sono persone cordiali e di buon umore. Tutto perfetto complimenti.

Abbiamo passato due settimane in un meraviglioso casale immerso nel verde della campagna calabrese, a due passi dal mare, in un appartamento spazioso, dotato di ogni comfort! Non dimenticheremo le serate trascorse nella fresca terrazza del casale, con gli altri ospiti della struttura, coccolati dalla squisita famiglia del buono, che da subito ci ha fatto sentire a casa, e che è 'dog friendly' quindi ci ha permesso di passare una bellissima vacanza con la nostra cagnolina!! Torneremo sicuramente!!!!!!!

What a beautiful house! What a wonderful host, Cesare, with his coffee and his liquorizia!!! What a gorgeous beach and lovely places to visit nearby! Everything and everybody was so relaxed, even the dogs and cats, other lovely visitors and also brother Nando with his nice Lido at the beach, complimenti!! Mind you, in the south of Italy dogs bark at night everywhere, nothing to do about that, so it might be recommended to bring earplugs..... we absolutely loved it, Jac and Yvonne, Eindhoven, Holland
