「Location and ocean view was FANTASTIC. While it's not a 5-star/ $1000 per night hotel, it has everything you would need/ expect from an excellent beach house. We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. Great jumping off point to see sites on this side of the island (Hilo, Volcano, towns that existed a few years ago but then were taken by lava). 「This was the perfect house for us. We especially loved the separate bedroom for our son to stay in. It was a fully stocked kitchen and a nice grill so we cooked in every night. The hot tub was great too! Mindi and John are wonderful hosts with top notch communication. The location was perfect for exploring the National Park and surrounding areas. The pictures just don't do this place justice, it's way cooler!」

「This property fully deserves its near-perfect reviews. Plenty of space for our family of four, utilizing the pull-out futon and air mattress. Our kids loved the koi pond, finding giant frogs and snails around the lawn, and waking up to a rooster crowing. No air conditioning, but ceiling fans and open windows kept the unit cool enough even in June. Idyllic location, relatively short drive to Volcanoes NP or anything else on Hilo side. Very well stocked including full cabinet of beach gear....

「The Jungalow was a great place to stay to explore Volcano National Park. It’s about 10 minutes to the entrance of the park and made it super easy to arrive midday and explore and then return first thing the next day and do some trails before the crowds in the morning. Her place was cute, clean and exactly as described - it fit our family of 5 very well. We’d definitely stay here again!」

「Lovely spot. Beautiful grounds. Unique Old Hawaiian motif. The owners put their love and pride into their units. I think there are 3 -4 units in the home but all were not occupied, so it was fairly quiet. The frogs block out any noise at night. They were very loud, but we loved their sounds! It could use a deep cleaning, and newer spices, condiments, and pans, but for the price it was a good value.」

「Totally unique off grid experience smack in the middle of the jungle. Think tiny house meets summer camp! Misty, the property host, gave an excellent introduction to the property and amenities. Her knowledge of flora and fauna enhanced our experience. Don’t worry about trading comfort for rural retreat. Our bedroom cabin was super clean, warm, appointed with quality linens and towels, and worked well for the four of us. This is a must do experience you won’t stop thinking about.」

「I just want to say thank you for the three days. If I had seen the listing I would’ve booked it for the two in a half weeks we were staying. This is a great place to stay with your family they provided everything which was great. The beds were comfy, the house is clean and great. Location was easy to find but we are from Hawaii so that could be why it was easy. 10/10 recommend.」
