“I spent a few nights in a single room at Pera Residence. The room is enormous, probably bigger than many one-bedroom apartments nearby. The interiors have the faded charm of a more glorious past, but do not expect everything to work perfectly or make much practical sense. A fire exit light directly above the bed made sleeping difficult, and the front desk offered no solution. The washing machine/dryer was a great perk, and the location is superb.”

“It was convenient and very close to TaKSIM square about 4 minutes walk. The price was very good to what we payed. We really enjoyed the view from the fifth floor but it was so hard to climb up the stairs with languages. We were grateful for the help we got from a person who helped us to. Check in. However it hard to get clean towels daily or toilet papers when needed. We had to buy some. Luckily there is a small market right by the hotel. The check out time is listed online at 12:00pm, however……

“If you are visiting Istanbul, your travels should take you to Taksim. If so a great stay for the money at Taksim Çetinkaya Suite Hotel. A bit off thhe beaten path but a real taste of the city and easy access to all their is around. Emi (owner) was excellent, provided tea, advice in my travels in the city, and helped me get a taxi set for the airport departure. I only stayed for a 12hr layover but was able to get around to restaurants, bars and clubs in the city. It was an excellent base of……
