Great place to stay close to the canyon

Quirky, delightful motel in the middle of nowhere but able to provide nearly all modern comforts. Only thing missing was a tv in the room but I didn't miss it. Restaurant was excellent. Beds were very hard. Good hot shower. Having visited Ai Ais, I was very glad we were staying at the Roadhouse.

Very convenient location to visit the Fish River Canyon. It is a little pricy, but the rooms and whole accommodation is very nice and has a unique design with a lot of attention to detail.

The booking was done accidentally as the hotel was shown to be in Windhoek (via Expedia). Immediately contacted the hotel for a cancellation. Money was taken out of credit card, after that no reaction whatsoever.

Die Location ist schon absolut sehenswert. Das Personal super freundlich. Das Zimmer zweckmäßig, es war alles vorhanden. Das Essen war gut, sehr amerikanisch angehaucht, es geht aber besser.

Die Ausstattung der Unterkunft mit Oldtimern hat viel Charme, ein Oryx kam bis in die Nähe unseres Zimmers. Der Pool ist angenehm groß, das Abendessen war gut (in der Einsamkeit aber auch alternativlos), es gibt am Empfang ein kleines Souvenirgeschäft. Trotzdem empfanden wir die Lodge, auch im Verhältnis zu anderen Unterkünften auf unserer Namibia-Rundreise, als zu teuer, zumal das W-LAN im Zimmer sehr schlecht war. Die Unterkunft wurde während unseres Aufenthalts auch von Reisegruppen genutzt. Guter Ausgangspunkt für den Besuch des Fish River Canyon.

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft, die durch ihre Gestaltung einzigartig wird! Sehr kurzer Weg zum Fish River Canyon, sodass wir den Sonnenuntergang in Ruhe vor Ort genießen konnten. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr aufmerksam und hat immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen!

Origineel verblijf

Mooi verblijf ingericht als een soort van Amerikaans wegrestaurant. De kamers zijn klein maar smaakvol ingericht met een mooie badkamer. Het eten in het restaurant is van heel goede kwaliteit. Als ik 2 minpuntjes moet geven is het voor de bedden en de WiFi. De matrassen waren beenhard en op de plaats waar de beddenbodem moest liggen, lag een plank! 300 MB internet verbruik per persoon is te weinig en meer van deze tijd.

Canyon Roadhouse Oasis!!

It was an oasis in a beautiful setting. Attention to detail and friendly staff were in order for our stay! Comfortable accommodation, great food, and everything that you could need were available, including fuel for vehicles. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay there again.

Good stay

Well kept hotel and very clean. Rooms on the small side but adequate. Could have done with a fridge in the room. Enjoyed the pool. A bit expensive but considering location in the middle of nowhere to be expected

Tolle Lodge in der Nähe des Gate zum Fish Canyon!

Sehr freundliches und bemühtes Personal, kostenloses Upgrade, stylische Zimmer und der ganzen Lodge, sehr gutes Frühstück und Dinner a la Card, absolut empfehlenswert! Bis zum Hoba Gate ca 10-15 Min Fahrtzeit, die sich auf jeden Fall lohnen! Es gibt auch eine schöne Campsite!

Schöne Anlage nahe Fishriver-Canyon

Schöne, im Stil einer Raststätte gehaltene Anlage mitten in der Wüste. Überall alte Sammlerstücke, die mit Autos und Strassenverkehr zu tun haben. Schönes ruhiges Zimmer, sehr bequeme Betten, geräumiges Badezimmer. Sehr nette Angestellte. Frühstück war im Preis enthalten und reichhaltig. Abendessen a la carte auch in Ordnung. Ca. 30 Kilometer zum Fishriver-Canyon
