Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy hints that will help get your Aksdal holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, official ID, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a phone crammed with your favourite movies are some fantastic options. If you hope to take a quick nap, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, find room for a few toiletry items so you'll step off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable substances, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when deciding what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible option, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
