If you're not prepared, airports and flying can be testing. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy hints for a worry-free start to your holiday in Balaguer. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, your medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
