We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be zooming through the airport and exploring Los Amates in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack in your passport, official ID, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a tablet crammed with your favourite shows are some wonderful options. If you intend to take a quick nap, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you step off the plane looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by dressing in layers, and wear flat, enclosed footwear like sneakers.
- Most travellers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your lower limbs often.
