Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Mon could be completely stress-free or it could go on forever. We've compiled some handy travel tips that will help you start your next great escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, put in your passport, official ID, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a tablet filled with your favourite movies are some wonderful options. If you intend to catch forty winks, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you arrive at your destination feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a pocket knife hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable products, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to feel as comfortable as possible. Pick slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
