Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're well prepared. We've put together a list of handy hints that will help get your Poprad escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, put in your passport, travel documents, credit cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a phone crammed with your favourite shows are some great options. If you intend to catch more than just forty winks, a neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you hop off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive products, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible option, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
