We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be speeding through the airport and having a blast in Revine Lago in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The main aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Layer up with loose, natural fibers and remember to bring a sweater in case it gets cool in the cabin. Pick a pair of flat, well-fitting shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell a little during the journey. Leave the stilettos and chunky boots in your checked baggage.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long-haul flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression tights and socks are another easy way to help lower your risk.
