No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Rignac escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a good novel. Next, make room in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive goods, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Go for slip-on footwear, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to bring a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
