Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Skopelos could be no sweat at all or it could go on forever. We've put together some tips that will help you start your unforgettable escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you take the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh set of clothes and a good novel. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
