「After a week camping in awful weather, I wanted to get a place whilst I met up with some old friends, I booked this place on line, and I'm so glad I did! 「The Cottage was ideally located for lots of adventures and had a very homely feel. The Cottage has the benefit of off road parking and because there are really good amenities in Braithwaite together with the fabulous walks from the door ranging from a Wainwright to a gentle stroll around the village we didn't use the car. We particularly enjoyed the walk up Barrow and Outerside with our dog Toby. I'm sure we will be staying again.」

「Brandlehow is the perfect place to relax and refuel. The location is superb, nestled in the woodlands and on the shores of Derwentwater. 「We had a four night stay at Grisedale pike. We found the accommodation to be warm, comfortable, spacious and welcoming with a Christmas tree and lights in the living room. 「The house is kept beautifully clean. Views from it are mind blowingly fabulous. Needs more hanging space in the bathroom and unfortunately there was a smashed window covered in cardboard in the front hall that I was not informed about. One caused a flame to shoot out the wall melting the wires in the kitchen socket, the other melted the wires in the immersion heater meaning no hot water for several days.
