Gorgeous apartment for two in the historic centre of Florence

  • This elegant apartment in the historic centre of Florence is the ideal location to explore the gems of this Renaissance city. Near enough to explore by foot, but far enough to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and relax with home comforts!

    Situated on the second floor of an old noble building dating back to 1600, reached by stairs or lift, the apartment has been sympathetically restored with care, attention and respect for its historical importance, but without forgetting today's modern comforts. The large airy living room has a beautifully frescoed ceiling and the kitchen and the bedroom retains the original coffered ceiling.

    Located within easy reach of all the important historic sites; just a stone's throw from the spectacular Duomo and Baptistery. To the west is the porticoed Piazza della Santissima Annunziata which houses the museum 'Ospedale dei Innocenti' (Hospital of the Innocents) and Archaeological Museum, as well as the church of its own namesake.

My husband and I were so pleased with this property! Very comfortable bed, modern bathroom, well equipped kitchen, and luxurious sitting room made this apartment perfect for our stay in Florence. We were able to walk everywhere and highly recommend this property!this property!

Beautiful Property in heart of Florence

Spacious and beautifully furnished apartment on a quiet street in the hear of Florence. We could walk to everything. The hostess was knowledgeable and helpful and provided recommendations on shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Florence.

The apartment was wonderful! It's in a wonderful location. An easy walk to everything, yet enough on the outskirts to be quiet at night. It's on the second floor and there is a mini elevator for when you have luggage. And Invitation to Tuscany was so helpful and always immediately available if I had a question.

Amazing apartment in Florence

I don’t even know what to say. This apartment in Florence was perfect for us as a couple. Clean, quiet, convenient to most of the main things you want to see in Florence…it has it all. Communication was very easy and Susan was so helpful when we got stranded due to a taxi strike in the city. Highly recommend Via Della Colonna!!

Sue's apartment was absolutely perfect! The flat was immaculately clean and well stocked with everything we needed for a wonderful stay in her beautifully renovated place that is a perfect combination of modern amenities and Italian charm. Sue was so friendly and knowledgeable and give us lots of ideas for things to do and see during our stay in Florence. The apartment was in a great location that was very close to all of the major sites but not too busy. We were definitely recommend staying here. We were sad to leave!!

The location was convenient for all the sights and museums in Florence, plus the Santa Maria Novella station which we used for a day trip to Pisa. Apart from that we walked to everything. We had breakfast at the nearest cafe every morning. Although we didn't have to use them, the apartment was on a number of bus routes which would have been useful for trips further afield.The apartment was tastefully appointed, comfortable, clean and delightful. It had everything we needed to live there for a week.The hospitality extended by the owner was fantastic. We were fortunate to be able to meet her personally and hear about the apartment and the locale. She left ample notes about the apartment, vicinity and checkout details. We were fortunate to get this apartment at short notice when our original accommodation fell through. We felt this apartment was better, in a better place and overall a great experience. The host's management team were part of making this all happen for us. We are grateful to everyone involved. This was our first trip to Italy, our first visit to Florence and it was made all the more memorable by our stay in this lovely apartment.

Home away from home in Florence

From the booking through arrival, communication was responsive and thorough without being too much. The apartment was spotless, the bed & pull out couch comfortable, and everything functions very well. As someone who also rents out a property, I appreciated so many little things: the clear information sheets and personal recommendations, which were truly curated. The quality of kitchenware, art, furniture, bedding etc; this apartment felt like it was designed for the owner to live here. Things that you don't always find when staying in Italy: enough drawers and hangars for clothing, full length mirror, Close up Mirror in the bathroom, good shower pressure and a shower head that is high and large enough for a tall person (not to mention a shower that doesn't soak the bathroom!!) Brava Sue. I hope to return soon.

This apartment was as beautiful as the pictures. Located in nice location. 15-30 min walk from main attractions but mins from groceries and restaurants. We stayed a week and will definitely come back again. Easy check in and lift for baggage if needed.

Lovely accommodation

What a beautiful apartment. Easy walking distance from the city centre. I wanted to stay in an apartment that looked like it was in Florence, not a grey and white block that could be anywhere! This apartment successfully combined the original historic features with modern lifestyle needs. The owners were friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
