Cozy Cottage on the Lake

This beautiful 3 bedroom 2.5 bath lake house is located on Lake Lanier with a boat dock and breathtaking lake views. Just 30 steps from the lake!

It is perfectly located in a cove with a two story dock. Convenient access by boat or car to restaurants, marinas, golf, tennis, jet-ski rentals, Lake Lanier Island Waterpark, hiking areas and much more.

Our property features lake views from just about every room in the house. It also features two decks with seating as well as a side deck with a large hot tub. Enjoy watching the boats go by from the deck or from the amazing Double Decker dock (one slip, two stories with deck on top. The dock does have additional side wet slips for your personal watercrafts! This rooftop dock is wonderful for sunbathing, relaxing or just watching the amazing views and sunsets. There is a one kayak for your enjoyment. Plenty of seating on the top deck as well as a sunshade to escape the rays!

The top level has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths as well as a laundry room. There are two queen beds and a bunk bed for the kiddos! The bottom level features a beautiful open concept area that includes a kitchen, living room, dining room, and bathroom. The kitchen has a huge island with seating for six. The center of the house features large windows for the views of the lake and surrounding area. You can walk straight out on to the deck with a hot tub! There is parallel parking for two cars only. This property is not handicapped accessible. Please note there are many steps and it may not be suitable for elderly guests. There are a good bit of stairs as the house is situated on a hill.

Have fun swimming, boating, kayaking, fishing, jetskiing, waterskiing, and exploring the lake. If you are looking for enjoyment and relaxation on the lake, this is the place to be!

Lake Lanier is located in North Georgia, just 40 miles from the state capitol of Atlanta. The 692 miles of shoreline borders the following five counties: Hall; Forsyth; Dawson; Gwinnett and Lumpkin. Lake Lanier is well known for the wonderful fishing.

Our stay on the lake was just perfect! We have a 12 year old and a 14 year and we all had the best time! The house was so spacious, a beautiful view of the lake, and perfect location. We went to Snow Island @ Margaritaville (about 15 minutes away) , spent an evening in downtown Dahlonega (about an hour away), and went on a self-directed tour of film locations of Stranger Things (about an hour away). The hot tub was a perfect way to begin our day and end of evening. We would 1 million percent stay here again. Thank you again!

Beautiful house and very clean. Nice view. We had a great time playing golf and hiking. Lots of restaurants nearby for delivery. Hot tub was nice - heated up and ready for us. Read other reviews about the parking and the stairs. It was not a problem for us, but an outdoor light on the back stairs is badly needed. The kitchen has the basics essentials for cooking and eating in. Missing a fewThings that would have made itNicer - salt and pepper, a few coffee pods for the first morning and a corkscrew for wine (we left ours there). Overall a very nice property and stay!!

Communication from the host was great, loved the location. House would’ve been a fabulous house in its day. Was clean, great facilities, just a little tired in places. Overall though we had a great stay, was able to get dropped off by boat!!! Deer grazing nearby in the mornings and evenings- definitely a magical location.

Our family had an amazing time at this vrbo! It was perfect for our family of 6! Its a quiet and cozy place, and the kids loved having their own dock access for fishing and swimming. Hot tub works well, and we even did some deer watching while out there. We would love to return and stay stay again.

Overall, the house was fine for a few days - the view was nice and the downstairs was spacious. However, there could be an update to the kitchen supplies as some were old and we couldn’t find things like pot holders. The scariest was the parking - especially for two cars - as it was very close to an edge. Also, pack your coolers lightly as there are a lot of stairs to go up and down while loading/unloading your car(s).

The Cozy Cottage in the lake was as advertised. So comfortable and stress free. A wonderful 3 nights. Close enough for a quick run to the market for supplies, but feels a million miles away. Great view of sunrise. Peaceful cove, nice dock, and comfortable for our group of 5.

Lake Vacation

We had a comfortable stay at the lake cottage. Could have done without all the rain! Loved the location right on the lake. The surrounding neighborhood is a perfect place to walk. The views of the lake and wildlife are lovely. The house has everything you need. The master bedroom has a very comfortable bed. The bathrooms are also great. Couches and rugs could use some updating to match the rest of the house. Overall, enjoyed staying in the cottage. I loved feeling like we were surrounded by nature!

Definitely needs some owner love. It is not up to par. 1st off when we got there I used the downstairs bathroom and hit was stopped up. The stairs going down to the house have rotten holes in some of them. The upstairs sink does not drain and the kitchen has German roaches.

Great house that needs TLC

The house itself is great, the view is beautiful! We loved seeing deer each day! However, the property needs maintenance, the interior needs upkeep (light bulbs out, remotes need batteries, Master Bathroom sink remains clogged, interior drawers and cabinets need cleaned but the biggest concern was pest control (too many live roaches!)

It was great

The house was nice and well kept. As others have said, parking was a little tight but not bad at all. We enjoyed our stay. House was great and had a lot of nice amenities. Neighborhood was quiet and house was close to everything we wanted to.

significant risk of injury

The property is significantly run down and poses several risk of physical harm. The 30 wooden steps from the road to the back entrance are loose, splintered and steep. the additional 37 steep concrete steps leading to the entrance to the dock are somewhat uneven and crumbly. The wooden walkway leading onto the dock was unsecured on one side, causing about a 20% list and considerable swaying and bouncing. The dock itself is peeling and rotting. The lake view from the house is hampered by the over grown vines and trees. Two of the 3 upstairs bedroom didn't have working air conditioning, The kitchen was ill equipped having only 3 coffee mugs, 1 serving bowl, no useable baking sheets, no kitchen towels, no pot holders. The garbage was not picked up on a regular basis so we made 5 trips ourselves to the compacter site. There were no sealed garbage bins, provided was a plastic box designed to store outdoor cushions. Garbage cannot sit in there for a week in 95 degree heat no matter if it's in a secured garbage bag. This home is a severe accident waiting to happen to an unsuspecting renter. Needs a vrbo employee to go onsite, I don't believe this property meets your standards.
