"A noisy out dated hotel, which is connected to the Porto hotel next door. Good location & a decent varied breakfast, but take your own tea bags if you want an English cuppa, as they only have flavoured teas. A kettle would have been useful in the room too. The bed was comfortable although very creeky. You can hear everything outside & in the rooms next door. There were weird pumping noises from somewhere within the premises at midnight & early in the morning, plus a man talking loudly outside in their grounds at 5.30am. Didn’t make for a pleasant stay. Would not stay there sgain."

"I stayed at the Sunrise for a week and have no idea how it was given 3.7 stars. The price of the stay was WONDERFUL for my budget! The location was PERFECT, be it right next to the sea. Manolia the customer service representative was above & beyond helpful. The best part of my stay was the 8€ breakfast! They did a WONDERFUL job with it and helped me stay below budget for my food costs. The room was clean & smelling good. There only one negative thing... and it comes from the customer expecring a Ritz Carlton experience in the farming portion of Crete. Well Worth It. Pay the 8€ for the breakfast and it'll save you 30€ from eating out."

"Fantastic property and beautiful location. The property was just as described, beautiful quiet location close by the lovey town of Plakias. We had an amazing holiday, pool area at the villa was perfect and the local beaches offered us lots of choice. The area of Plakias is very quiet but the local town offered lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Beaches were clean, sea was great for swimming and they were not overly busy even during school holiday season. The Villas had everything we needed and the connecting balconies made it easy to move between the two properties. The drive from the airport takes you though beautiful mountain regions. We loved being away from the busier tourist areas of the North. We did 1 day trip to a Waterpark which took us 1.5 hrs to drive to. Overall the longer drive time was well worth it for the quieter and less touristy area we were in.All my interactions with the property team were great, they were very helpful and always available if we had questions. The housekeeping ladies were all very friendly and we really appreciated the extra personalised touches. We will definitely return!"
