My stay started with a lot of stress. Although I had pre-booked and had a confirmation, a lot of fuss made by staff on the day of travel in order to pay in advance. I have stayed in this hotel many times before. Overall rooms are nice and big and it has good amenities. The breakfast has always been a let down but it was even worse this last time. Nothing seemed fresh so I would just have the coffee and leave.

Pratico parcheggio gratuito, secondo disponibilità anche proprio davanti all'alloggio. Bella la zona piscine esterne, peccato l'acqua decisamente troppo fredda!

The outdoor pool onsite is lovely, the only thing that lets it down is the smell of sewage in the area, it’s present walking round the hotel area outside. Not great. The room was booked for 2 children and 2 adults but only had 2 towels and 2 pillows which was annoying. If you book for 4 people you should have the necessary items for 4 people. The room itself was lovely and clean. The TV was a smart TV but you couldn’t use it to watch the intended smart tv apps. You could only stream from your phone using a casting app they connect to that only works with Disney+. It was ok for what we needed in driving through to break up our journey but we wouldn’t stay again.

Very disappointing – nowhere near four-star standards I was thoroughly unimpressed with my stay at the Best Western Modena Resort. For a hotel claiming to be four-star, the experience was frankly dreadful. The biggest issue was the unbearable room temperature. Despite outdoor temperatures reaching 22°C, the heating was blasting away, making the room incredibly uncomfortable. When I asked for the air conditioning to be switched on, I was simply told, “At this time of year, sir, we don’t put the air conditioning on.” Apparently, guest comfort is dictated by the calendar rather than the actual temperature! The only way to sleep comfortably was to leave the large patio doors wide open throughout the night. The staff showed very little interest or concern. The showers were poorly maintained, and on one occasion I was subjected to a cold shower. The bar area resembled a restaurant that had closed down rather than a welcoming hotel lounge. There was no atmosphere, no effort to provide service, and seemingly no interest in making guests feel welcome. Breakfast was equally disappointing, consisting largely of cheap, highly processed food, including frankfurters and uninspiring eggs. Certainly not what I would expect from a supposedly four-star establishment. Overall, the hotel felt tired, poorly managed and completely lacking in hospitality. The combination of uncomfortable rooms, indifferent service, poor facilities and substandard food made this stay highly disappointing
