“The service was wonderful. The staff helped arrange things like taxis and a horse ride and made sure I got breakfast before an early morning tour (excellent scones!). They were especially accommodating on my last day when I was taking a late train, allowing me to shower and have a place to hang out for a little while in the late afternoon. The common areas feel historic but comfortable and well kept. The rooms are mostly updated but if you want a historic feel, be sure to request it. Pretty much……

Direkt vor der ZimmerTür die Kaffeemaschine, die kostenfrei Kaffee spendierte, die allerdings um ~4:30Uhr morgens sich mit einem Klackern kurz meldete. Das Personal durchweg freundlich, wenn auch der Mann an der Bar den einen Abend etwas brummig war. Britisch/Schottisches Buffet-Frühstück mit teils frisch zubereiteten Bestandteilen z.B. Porridge. “Comfortable. Bed was nice. Heat and hot water. The staff at check in was warm and friendly. The tub and and floors could have been cleaner. There were some crumbs under a night stand and though the shower might have been passable for a rough week at home i dont think it would be a nice bath”

“This hotel is a gem. Although the building is older, the room was spotless, updated, and everything was in perfect working order. The restaurant cooked an excellent breakfast to order and the Italian dinners were authentic and delicious. To top it off, the hospitality was warm and welcoming, it was a 5 minute walk to both the downtown and the beach. Loved this place and would return in a heartbeat. ”

This hostel was the only one that could accommodate my request for a lower bunk bed, which I greatly appreciated, as I needed to wake up in early morning. Location: Very affordable rates and just about 15min walk from the town center. It is easier to walk from Morrison, and for those needing to travel to the airport, there is a bus……
