Indianapolis Fort Harrison State Park Hotels

"I checked in and the room I was given was dark. The mattress was a 4” camper mattress on top of a king frame. The bathroom mirrors were dirty and when I opened the curtain the window was shattered. I did not feel comfortable staying there and immediately moved to another hotel. "

"Took 20 minutes to get someone to roll up the metal door to check me in. The person checking me in was training someone, so she wanted to show the trainee the room to ensure it was clean. After 20 more minutes, they returned and gave me room keys. The room was filthy; see photos. The following day, I stopped by the front desk to cancel my next two nights, but it was closed. Later, I spoke with an employee that advised that he knew my room was clean and advised me he would have the manager call me. Several hours later, I called back and spoke with the manager, who graciously cancelled the rest of my reservation."

"I booked 8 double rooms with Expedia, when I checked in only 3 were available the other 5 were king and the hotel was sold out!! I was informed by the hotel manage, Expedia does not guarantee the type of room booked. Truly. This was false advertisement."

"Unfortunately this hotel has suffered due to the highway construction and the decline of the area. Property is a bit rundown. Most of the staff doesn't speak any English."

"The dining area was wonderful and the breakfast was generous and had good variety. The dining area and front desk looked very fresh and new. The room was clean and the bathroom seemed to be very updated. One small improvement which wouldn't cost much would be to replace the drapes. They were stained and wouldn't close completely. Staff was very efficient and helpful"
