  • First, I am not sure if the location on the map is correct, I did my best to place it correctly. On a Gorilla trek in Uganda we saw this young gorilla. They did not know the sex yet. We were told we were very fortunate to see him/her. The white around their mouth is from a fruit they eat. A Gorilla trek is fantastic. It helps to pay for their protection and also helps the community. A win win situation. #Wildlife

Great stay

I had a great stay in Nyaika Hotel. Check-in was smooth and effortless, room was very clean. I loved the balcony. Breakfast was apt.

Great ambiance and fantastic service

I love this hotel, it’s cozy, quiet and the rooms are spacious. Staff is responsive if a guest has a need. It’s really my go to place that feels like home. You will not go wrong if you choose to stay at Nyaika hotel.

Older fixtures still in good shape. Elegant by the standard of 1990s. Large rooms, large bathrooms, nice balcony view. Excellent breakfast. A little bit overpriced. The front desk management are not cooperating to give discounts for larger groups. I will keep that in mind when I will bring the next group in Fort Portal.

The first morning there was no yoghurt. I specially asked for it, but it was out of stock.

Never EVER again

One look at the attached photo tells you all you need to know about this property, its attitude to guests and its management. For the record the only thing i would consider stealing is the bathroom plumbing. In the hope that they would replace it with something that worked. Loathsome on every level.
