Downtown Apartment 3 in Historic Mansion | Free Parking
There's something different about staying somewhere with an actual story. The McCulloch Mansion has been standing since 1843 — a genuine Fort Wayne landmark with history you can feel the moment you walk in.
Your apartment is on the first floor, and it's the kind of place that's comfortable without trying too hard.
You've got two bedrooms with queen beds, a full kitchen for the mornings you'd rather stay in, and an in-unit washer and dryer so you can pack like a normal person. When you're ready to head out, you're already in the middle of everything.
The Landing is right down the street — dinner at Marquee if you're feeling it, a pizza and a pint at 816 if you're not. Promenade Park is a short walk when you just want some air. Grab a bike from Fort Wayne Outfitters and see more of the city than you expected to.
Coming back is easy. Free parking is out back — no circling the block, no fees, just pull in and you're done.
It's a downtown stay that gives you a real base. Interesting enough that you'll mention it when someone asks where you stayed. Easy enough that you won't think twice about it while you're there.
We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! The place is really cute and surprisingly spacious. The location is absolutely perfect, it was in a prime area for everything we needed to do, and we were never more than a 15-minute drive from any of the local attractions. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again!"

Photos doctored regarding the views outside. The place was clean. Doors to bedrooms opened to hallway for apartment. Doors were hollow interior doors. People had tried to open those doors damaged them. The door from the outside to hallway had been damaged from forced entry. Repair was to use wood putty and not replace frame. This created an uneasy feeling. The drywall had multiple cracks and many doors did not shut without force. They list the historic part of the building but really it is a added on old business turned into apartment. Don't expect any historic charm. The furniture had stains rips and loose legs. The actual front door to the old part of the house was unlocked and we went in by accident when we went to check in. Piles of mail were strewn across the floor. If you need a room for a week as a journeyman worker its probably fine. If you're on a vacation of any kind I feel you will be disappointed. Not historic. Not new.
