A quick drive takes you to a cute little downtown area with plenty of options for a drink or lunch. We had a nice dinner at Sullivans Supper Club. Would stay again. 「Terrific house overlooking the Mississippi, but no direct access to the river, which was fine. Able to view barges, a Viking cruise ship, and assorted other boats travel up and down the waterway. There is a lock & dam a few blocks from the house that's worth visiting. The house is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, bowls, silverware, cooking & grilling utensils. Additionally there were spices, coffee, tea, cooking oils & sprays, a jar of M&Ms, probably other things I'm forgetting. The beds...

「Our host, Jon, responded promptly to any question we had. The home was both beautiful and very well stocked overall. We do not typically find a home that has such a beautiful kitchen and amenities. We had a wonderful view overlooking the Mississippi River - being just over 1 block away, and watching the barges go through the dam & lock, watching the trains pass by. We even got to see a cruise ship go up river as it passed by in our view. I highly recommend this property and its owner!」
