“Parking was easy. Beds comfortable. Rooms and hotel outdated and a bit worn. The rooms seemed clean enough but I got my own cleaner and washed room down. Don't get me wrong decent enough room. If you decide to take an Uber in town or around I met a top notch great driver who dresses in a suite, pleasant demeanor, plays a little classical music: His name is Derrick and his direct cell is: 1-603-338-1145. Reasonable cheap prices with tips around town activies. 3/21/26”

“The property is close to everything. The staff were great. The air conditioning was great. They are improving the property and I would imagine the property will soon match the level of the staff. ”

“Room was beautiful and the location was great. Contactless which I wasn't sure about but was great. Easy code to get into the building and our room and check out was just as easy. Lovely Tea/Coffee bar with snacks. Will stay here again.”

The location is perfect: the Thaxter is in the heart of the old port city and you are surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, good restaurants and interesting shops. We will gladly stay there again.”

“The hotel was amazing. Loved the original bldg. was left alone..so historical. Cozy well kept rooms. Walls a bit thin but wouldnt stop me from going back. The bar/pool room was a great added addition. Breakfast was also offered with bagels, toasts, fresh fruit cups, oatmeal/cereals,cured meats & cheeses, as well as oj and coffee. Great location..we walked everywhere! Always felt safe absolutely no issues at all”
