  • In the center of Franklin lies a delightful two-bedroom cabin, providing a warm and welcoming escape for your upcoming holiday. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, lobster pot, coffee maker, some basic spices and paper products to get you started. In the kitchen you will find all the necessary dishes and utensils to prepare delicious meals. Unwind in the comfortable living room, or step outside and enjoy the fresh air on the deck. On chilly evenings, you can cozy up to the wood stove and enjoy a game or two from the selection provided. The water from the tap is filtered lake water and not potable. We will provide three gallons of drinking/ cooking water in the cabin and a gallon of potable water in the bathroom.

    Outdoor enthusiasts will be happy with the cabin's proximity to nearby points of interest in the Acadia region where you can explore the great outdoors. Right at your front door you will find swimming, nature watching and kayaks available for your use. It is a slow incline so even the littlest swimmers can splash around in the waters edge.
    After a day of adventure, return to the cabin to watch remarkably beautiful sunsets and relax by the fire pit, surrounded by the peaceful ambiance of the property. Families will appreciate the games and entertainment options, ensuring everyone has a memorable stay. The bathroom is in a separate building from the main cabin, approximately 20 feet from the main building, and is for your use only.

    Amenities such as free Wi-Fi, a washing machine and dryer, and essential toiletries make this cabin a true home away from home. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a family-friendly vacation, this property offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience to make your stay truly unforgettable. Please note that the TV is a RokuTV and you will need your passwords to any streaming program you have in order to access them.

Great location on a lake. We used the kayaks and had a fire every evening. About half hour from bar harbor without the expense. I liked the ambiance of the place. A bit rustic but very comfortable. I slept very well!

Great and quiet place, beautiful. Must be a fun place in Summer. My days here were a bit of cold. Still very memoriable and unique along with Acadia. The bathroom is outside of the cabin, which I did not see in expedia site. Host said it was all mentioned, but not in Expedia property description. If not for that, I'd give a five star overall.

If you're looking for a traditional Maine camp experience this place was perfect. It's on a beautiful pond in proximity to Bar Harbor and Ellsworth. My family loved both the location and the camp itself, including the numerous board games that are located in the camp. I'd recommend this place to anyone interested in the Maine camp experience!

Such a mystical and rustic cabin in the woods. Waking up to the calls of the lake loons, ducks and osprey was also an added bonus!

We loved staying here! Barbara is a fantastic host. She checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. The cabin was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed kayaking a few times during our stay with the kayaks provided. We spent a lot of time on the deck just taking in the view and relaxing.

This cabin is truly one of a kind. The location right on the water is spectacular, with beautiful views and the soothing sound of the water just steps away. The décor is exceptional, thoughtfully designed, charming, and full of unique touches that make the space feel special. One of the most memorable features was the outdoor bathroom, which was surprisingly fun and added to the overall character and experience of the stay. Perfect spot for Acadia-Schoodic a.m. hikes and scenic drives. Evening kayaks-fishing 10 steps from the front door. Lively LM bass loved the “trolled” rapala Every nite. Sunsets across the lake were special, as were the talkative loons. Bar Harbor-Bar Island hike fast 45 minutes Away for excellent food options and better people watching; we were equally thrilled to be staying away from the crowds, at the George’s Pond off the beaten path retreat. The cabin was perfect for my 30 y/o son and me, spacious, simple, with so much character.Barbara was super responsive and a great host. Awesome spot.

Perfect for our family reunion

Barb was wonderful to work with and everything was wonderful. We were visiting family on the pond so the location was perfect. We enjoyed the beautiful pond views and being close to several hiking trails. We hope to stay there again!

Idyllic Cabin

This was a wonderful place to stay, felt just like a summer camp! Cute cabin with a beautiful pond next to it for swimming/fishing/kayaking, etc. About 45 minutes from Acadia National Park, depending on what trail you're headed to.

The cabin was absolutely adorable! We loved it. The views and location were absolutely stunning and so very peaceful, exactly what my husband and I were looking for. The host left us the cutest card with all the ins and out of the cabin as well as there cell if we needed anything. 10/10 recommend!

Calm/peaceful retreat

My husband and I stayed at this camp for a full week, and it was paradise! Listening to the loons, watching the bald eagles, watching the ducks on the pond. The cabin is adorable. If you want a peaceful escape this is the place for you!

Everything couldn't have been more perfect! The host was outstanding-- she even started a fire in the wood stove for us so that the cabin would be toasty when we arrived after a day of hiking in Acadia. The place itself is exactly as described and if anything even nicer. I wish I could live there! The lake was gorgeous, the beds comfortable and the stars were amazing. Can't wait to go back!

We had a great time at Barbara’s waterfront cabin — perfect for a long weekend getaway. The cabin was clean and homey, and Barbara was very communicative! The access to the water and the kayaks provided made for a great time on the pond.

Cute and Rustic Lakeside

The cabin and property were as listed. Communication with the property manager was great! Thoughtful, friendly and easy to work with. Beautiful lake, rustic and fun. We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was older but very well kept. Nice and close to Bar Harbor and Acadia Park (about 40 minutes).

Beautiful lakeside cabin

My significant other and I had a beautiful stay at this unique cozy cabin! This was our home base while in the area exploring Acadia and we loved starting our day with views of the lake and coming back to enjoy relaxing by the firepit. Everything was as described and it was nice having our own private bathroom a few steps from the main cabin along with access to a washer and dryer to keep our laundry fresh after a week of traveling and camping. Barbara was extremely helpful and communicated very well in planning for our arrival and answering questions we had during the stay.

The cabin was perfect and just what we needed. The lakefront property was idyllic and indeed the slice of wilderness heaven promised in the listing. The host, Barb, was helpful, kind, compassionate, and quite amenable and understanding. She even came out in a storm when we locked ourselves out by accident. The location and proximity to other jewels of Maine as well as the freshest of seafood and Maine home cooking made day trips a very feasible possibility! You can’t miss with this property … we will definitely be back!
