    Welcome to The Ridge House, your serene escape nestled in the breathtaking Smoky Mountains of Franklin, NC. Perched at an elevation of 3,500 feet atop Cowee Mountain, this stunning vacation home offers panoramic views that stretch over downtown Franklin, providing a picturesque backdrop for your mountain retreat. With two cozy bedrooms and two baths, this home is perfect for families or small groups seeking adventure and relaxation in a tranquil setting. The Ridge House is designed for comfort and convenience, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious living room with leather recliners, and a large smart TV for your entertainment. Enjoy meals at the expansive dining table or step outside to the covered patio, where an old-fashioned swing invites you to unwind while soaking in the long-range mountain views. The home also includes a dedicated workspace, ensuring you can stay connected during your stay.



    Located within a secure gated community, The Ridge House offers both privacy and accessibility. Just a short five-minute drive from US 441, you can easily explore the charming towns of Franklin and Sylva. Adventure awaits with nearby attractions such as the Nantahala National Forest's stunning waterfalls, gem mining, and skiing at Maggie Valley. For a unique experience, take a day trip to Asheville to visit the renowned Biltmore Estate or enjoy white-water rafting in Bryson City. With amenities like central AC, Wi-Fi, and a fire pit for evening gatherings, The Ridge House is equipped to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The master bedroom features a king bed, while the second bedroom offers a queen bed with an overhead twin bunk, accommodating up to five guests. Each bedroom has its own vanity area, ensuring privacy and convenience for all.



    **Whole-House generator so you will never have to worry about losing power and also provided an EV Charger** You will have access to the terrace level of the home only which has its own separate entrance and is a spacious 1300 sq ft. Guests can rest assured that they will have complete privacy and that no one else will be on site during their stay. Beautifully, quiet& peaceful.Nearly everything at your finger tips. Short scenic drive out of gated community- Country Club- to Bryson City. The eateries in Bryson City we chose were; CJ's Cafe& Anthony's. Fabulous food~

A bit of Heaven

We wanted a nice getaway in a cabin to relax and explore. We got way more than we bargained for. The rental is the entire lower level that is wonderfully equipped and decorated. Very warm and inviting. The road leading up to the home is quite a beautiful drive I just suggest arriving before dark in order to familiarize yourself with the surroundings. We absolutely loved it!

Great Place

Very clean, internet good, comfy king bed (hard to find these) and as advertised ... EV Charging (40 amps - J1772). Be sure to read the documentation when you get there - it allows you to use the upper patio. Unfortunately due to rain (and in part, cold) we weren't able to enjoy it for more than a few minutes.

Dream Getaway with breathtaking views.

Amazing place! Loved every minute of it. The view is above and beyond what you expect. The cabin was perfect. It was clean, well decorated, comfortable, well-stocked, we had no complaints about the cabin whatsoever. No stains or smells on the pillows or mattresses and the sheets and blankets were plenty and soft.A word of caution for parking: We drove a Chevy bolt that was not able to make it up to the upper level parking where the EV charger was. A mid-size or larger suv would be beneficial. It also helps if your tires aren’t bald. :)

Nice condo…great view…but…

The condo itself was nice and the view is great. However, the condo was not clean…very dusty with dead bugs everywhere. The walls are destroyed and need to be painted. I’m surprised there weren’t touched up before summer. There was no toilet paper in the house, besides 2 partially used rolls and no tissues. When I called to have someone come in and clean -no one got back to me and I was then credited for the inconvenience. Vacasa’s cleaning service and customer service need improvement. There was no coffee pot, only a Keurig and no pods. I’ve never rented a place that didn’t have a coffee pot. Overall, we had a great time because we were in the mountains and the condo is nice. The cleaning and missing items were frustrating but can easily be rectified if someone is paying attention and makes the necessary effort.

Beautiful condo in the Smokies

We enjoyed our 4 night stay in this very spacious and comfortable condo with a gorgeous view. The pictures are very accurate although it’s larger than we expected and the full deck that runs the whole length of the house is really nice. A couple of things to be aware of. The condo is on the side of a mountain so the road to it is winding and steep with multiple roads cutting off at different places. We tried to arrive before dark but didn’t quite make it and it was really challenging to read the address markers. There are only a few towels in each bathroom and the quality of some is good and others sub par. The sheets on the king bed were also sub par, thin and pilled. Extra trash bags and dish washing soap are provided but only minimal paper towels and toilet paper and no clothes washing soap. Also the only condiments were salt and pepper. There are no stores in Whittier so you have to shop in either Bryson City or Cherokee. Just a heads up so you know what to bring with you.
