“This cabin is a 1940s cabin and that's what it is. Don't expect luxury. Dogs and kids will love it -- bunk beds, a loft bed and a not-heavily-traveled road to walk dogs. The wall of west-facing windows gives a beautiful view across the Mississippi River for stunning sunsets. There's a small beach where you can sit. But beware -- GPS has NO idea where the cabin is. After being lost twice, I went to the app to message the host and realized there were driving instructions. But those weren't sent……

“The owner was awesome to work with. There were lots of touches to fit with the name Fairy Bowery. The artwork and decorations put the location in liminal space. The Air Conditioning was able to keep up with Nauvoo summer (in fact we had to scale it back to keep from freezing.) We were there for a family reunion, and all of the family that saw our location and accommodations was jealous. Next time we have a reunion in Nauvoo, we'll have to reserve it at least 6 months in advance to keep my……

“Great place! Plenty of space. Quiet. Close enough to Nauvoo for all the attractions.”

“Historic Nauvoo. What a neat little town. Everyone was extremely friendly. The property is good value for the money. If you park on the Main Street, it’s easy to find. The alleyway from the front is level concrete and well lit. We parked in back as we were instructed. It was a little confusing at first, until I reread the instructions. The concrete alleyway from the back is uneven and not as well lit. But the town is a safe one, so security is already felt. The stairs to the upper apts……

“Beautiful historic home. Beautiful period furnishings. Comfortable mattresses and bedding. Updates kitchen. Fans in all the bedrooms and lovely electric fireplaces for ambiance and/or heat.”

“My husband & I stayed a few nights at the cabin for our anniversary. The place is beautiful & oh so comfy. There were a few bugs indoors, but with the cabin being so far out in the country it's pretty expected. Communication with our host was super easy & quick. I needed a question answered & messaged the her. She responded within minutes. I would definitely stay again.”

“This was a great property. It matched the description, was so close to the Nauvoo temple, was clean, and was a great stay. Communication from the host was clear and they promptly responded to us. We would stay here again. Thanks for a great stay.”

“The location is excellent.”

“Located on a nice quiet road by the river. Fireflies were out in June. May need bug spray, so we’re the mosquitos. It’s a great place with some nice grass and personal space. That’s what we like about this place. Thanks so much.”

“The place was very clean. Very quiet. Comfortable beds and furniture. Good appliances for kitchen and laundry. Less than 15 to Navoo and restaurants, Dollar General, gas station. I would definitely stay there again.”

“i left suggestions in the book for the owner”
