Peaceful Holiday
Spent New Year weekend with my husband & our dog! Such a quiet peaceful place! Very well made cabin also! We enjoyed walking the property and road with our dog! Gaylord is a fun town as well! Also highly recommend Hartwick Pines State Park! We were lucky enough to actually get snow on NYE and it was so fun hiking the park with our pup! Definitely recommend Bonfire Holler!

Fall Get-a-Way
Pure Michigan weekend in a cozy and immaculate cabin in the woods. Enjoyed the ability to “unplug” and listen to “old-time” music on the record player. Cabin stayed cozy with the pellet stove. The Perfect Getaway
This was our second year visiting The Bonfire Holler and it was perfect. The host communicated and the place was clean and cozy. Our dogs absolutely loved the pet frendly carpet in the TV area and tge fuzzy one at the end of the bed in our room.We stayed longer and visited many National Parks in the area and further out. It was a wonderful stay and we will most definitely be back again next year.

Wonderful cabin
Although I had to cut our trip short due to an emergency, I was still able to enjoy and appreciate the stunning cabin and the local area. I cannot wait to go back and finish exploring. The host was an angel. I have nothing but great things to say.

Quiet and Cozy
This was our second time coming to Bonfire Holler. We really enjoy the location because it's away from people and other houses. It's close to some trails so we can ride our Jeep around and see God's beautiful creation. The bed we used was comfortable. The air conditioning downstairs was great, however, it was quite hot in the bedroom even with fans. The kitchen is adequately equipped. We really enjoy the particular house and location.

Relaxing cabin vacation
Was such a nice break from city life. The snowfall one morning of our stay outside of the cabin windows was a highlight. Our dog loved running around and yard and exploring the woods. The pellet stove kept the cabin warm and comfortable, with relatively minor inconvenience . We would love to come back and stay again!

The cabin was absolutely perfect! Great location near Hartwick Pines and Gaylord, yet tucked away in its own private space. Plenary of room to roam! The cabin had everything we needed and more and was very charming! We hope to return and see it in a different season

A True "Getaway"!!!
If you are looking to truly "get away" this is the place. Off the beaten path, this cabin is located at the end of a secluded road with acres and trails to explore. We were at the peak of color change, and the mature tree's around the property did not disappoint. The cabin is well maintained, with thoughtful touches throughout. Everything we needed was there, and some things we didn't even know we needed. Being a pet-friendly cabin, you would not know it by how clean and fresh smelling it was. If you're looking for a true place to stay, and get away from life's business (but still close to activities) this is the place. We 100% recommend it, and will certainly be back again!!!

Perfict Getaway
I loved everything about this cabin, from the moment you walk in and you saw the stone work on the stairs leading to the upstairs bedrooms. You just feel at home and relaxed. Being outside and just listening to all the different sounds of birds and other animals, I was so excited to hear an owl our first night there. We enjoyed every big and little detail about this beautiful getaway and we most definitely will be back!! Thank you for everything!!

Amazing place
We came up for a family wedding on the Manistee river. We were expecting an average cabin for the weekend, we got more than expected. There was shampoo/soap and even kids soap I’m the shower. Full kitchen with fridge water and ice. The sheets are amazing. I will be ordering a set or two. We will most likely be in contact to rent again for a weekend!

Enjoyed our stay with our family. Loved the big yard for the kids to run around in and would’ve done a fire if it was cooler out. Would love to come back in the fall. Clean and well stocked cabin with everything you need. It was really warm the first night but house had plenty of fans.

Lovely cabin in a nice location!
My family and I enjoyed our experience at Bonfire Holler! From the moment we first walked in, we couldn’t get over how cute the cabin was and all the amenities it had to offer. They even had a treat waiting for our pup! Our only negative experience was the lack of air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms - the listing stated there would be a unit so we were disappointed about that. They do have a nice unit in the main floor, though. The week we stayed, the highs were in the 80s/90s so it was very problematic for sleeping upstairs, especially with our infant daughter. The hosts kept in good communication with us, though, which helped immensely. Overall, we enjoyed the cabin and its location.

We are glad you enjoyed the cabin and again apologize for the air conditioner situation. We had just replaced the upstairs unit with a portable downstairs unit thinking it would keep the cabin cool, as we don’t have many 90 degree days. The portable one can always be moved as needed but we appreciate your feedback and will look into another unit for upstairs!

The property is off the road so there weren't any road noises during the night. Very peaceful setting. One neighbor a football field away. We liked the seclusion and quiet. Cabin is stocked with all your essential needs.

Short but sweet
I had to work in the area. So instead of getting a hotel that would’ve been 45 minutes to an hour away from my job site I decided to look for a place closer and more unique. I found that here it truly is a cabin in the woods. Having coffee on the porch in the morning and listening to the turkeys gobble, we saw some deer running through the woods. My only regret was not staying longer to enjoy the quiet and walk the trail to look for morels.

Nice small Cabin!
We were looking for a place to stay near gaylord to be near my daughter as well as great places to hike. We found this cabin and decided to give it a try. When we arrived we found it was in a nice spot on remote rode with only one close neighbor across the road. The cabin was very clean, nicely laid out and has everything you could want including games which we didn't bring but used extensively. The beds were comfy and the tv, cable and Blu-ray player all worked well. We had LTE and Cell service so that was great. We had one small problem with the furnace but it was most likely my fault and kyle the owner was happy to come out, and fixed it while we were out hiking. I would definetly recommend this to anyone looking for a remote place to stay!

We loved staying at this cabin, so much so we booked an additional night while there. It was set up with everything you could possibly need and we loved how cozy it felt with the pellet stove. Kyle was a great host with quick responses and communication. We would definitely go back!

I had a wonderful stay at Bonfire Holler. The location is quiet and secluded. The cabin is clean and well equipped for a relaxing visit. The hosts were just as excellent as the cabin and its setting. They provided great communication and clear direction for household procedures which made it all feel easy. I would be excited to come back and visit because 2 nights was not enough. Be sure to check out Hartwick Pines State Park just a short drive away.

Perfect Outdoor Getaway
This was truly the best vacation I have had. From this location, we had easy access to kayaking and hiking but were not too far away from easy access to city stuff like Walmart and nice dinner and date spots. I highly recommend the Bavarian Falls and Big Buck Brewery for a date night. The spot is also only about an hour from Mackinaw city which has ferries all day long to Mackinac Island, we spent a whole day and absolutely loved it. The cabin is only about an hour and 45 minutes to Sleeping bear dunes which have lots of pet-friendly beaches and great hiking trails. I highly recommend the scenic drive, lots of great places to stop. The beaches are also an amazing spot to star gaze. On the days we stayed at the cabin we really enjoyed the DVD player and the fire pit. Overall such a welcoming spot with everything you need to cook and have a great time. Thank you for the amazing stay!

Great property, beautiful smaller cabin. Very clean and had all the amenities needed.
Really enjoyed our stay. Great location! Close to I 75 but you cannot hear the highway. Beautiful cabin with all the amenities covered. Updated appliances. Nice deck with a charcoal grill/smoker which we loved. Host are very professional, good communication and left us a guide to local eateries and recreational options in the area. We truly enjoyed grilling dinner and bonfires in the evening. We highly recommend this property!

We rented the cabin for a mini vacation and it was perfect! We felt more like guest opposed to just renters. The cabin was spotless and you can tell the owners really care. The hosts were so easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had promptly. It was in a great location, close to disc golfing, beaches and miles of trails. We loved it and would definitely recommend this property!
