Beautiful and romantic B & B. Comfy rooms, top notch restaurant, 20 minutes to attractions in Gettysburg, stunning rose garden, fantastic service, free electric car charger on site. No better place than here for a spcial occasion getaway.
A step back in time - beautiful antiques and period furnishings! Service was superb and amenities luxurious. We highly recommend a stay here and we will be coming back for our anniversary!
The staff was truly amazing. The restaurant on site was superb. The decor captures the mansion and grounds in their prime. We stayed in one of the rooms in one of the other buildings on the grounds, cozy and intimate. Great romantic get away.
This hotel was so gorgeous. We stayed in the Chamberlain Suite and it was so cool. We swam in the pool, played croquet and sat in the lounge and chatted with the bartender for hours. We absolutely loved everything about our stay and will definitely plan to come back!
There was mold in the shower and the shower stream was very weak. The large tub was extremely diffidult to get in and out of. But we loved the gardens and the food delicious!
The Mansion unbelievable. U got to see this place. The owners did a fabulous job restoring it to the period. Very well done. Kathy took us for a tour of the entire property. She did a great job for only being there for 2 months. We saw mostly all the rooms and guest house. Amazing how well each room is decorated. and the grounds were well kept. Gardens were impeccable and beautiful. Our room “the Icehouse” was amazing. Very comfortable and y clean. Perfect. Pool was excellent- clean.
The only minor complaint was the breakfast. We were expecting something different and exciting. But we only had 2 eggs 2 pieces of burnt dried up bacon and old potatoes. We thought we would get something like French Toast with fruit or fancy pancakes or something else besides 2 eggs and bacon.
But over all great place to have a get away. Or wedding.
We booked a little cottage on the property and it was absolutely beautiful. Afternoon tea was amazing and the little English pub in the bed-and-breakfast was a wonderful way to end the evening.
The room was very large, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and very peaceful. The food and service at the restaurant were amazing. It was one of the best meals that my wife and I have ever had.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Antrim 1844....the staff were thoughtfyul and knowlegeable especially Reed,Tristan and Amy! We can't wait to return!
Charming, elegant, comfortable. It’s a beautiful property with so many fun details, from the wallpaper in the pub space to the croquet court. Wonderful restaurant and amazing staff, too. We love it here.
A unique experience. well suited for small events like private weddings where a number of attendees can enjoy history and a charming venue. OK for my wife and I.
The property is beautiful and the staff is friendly. The room we stayed was large and nicely decorated but very oddly laid out. The bathroom was at one end of the room which I didn’t like. I would stay at Antrim again but if I do I I will avoid rooms in the Birnie House in the future.
Great service and staff. I read the reviews and called ahead of time to make sure there was no big events happening and there wasn’t so I decided to book a night. I am glad I did. It was peaceful and very quiet. We enjoyed the afternoon tea and dinner at the Smokehouse restaurant. Breakfast was ok, not very impressive. We stayed at the Loft room. Very private. Definitely recommend.
