“We had a great time. It is an older house but wonderful. It is in the country with lots of green fields surrounding it. The porch with the rockers was my favorite place to be when we weren’t site seeing, It was so peaceful. I would definitely stay here again.”

“We absolutely loved our time at this home. It was my 60th birthday and my husband and I invited two couples to join us. My husband surprised me with a chef from DC who cooked us an amazing 5 course meal that we ate on the huge deck under a full blue moon! Between courses we moved over to the gas "fire-pit". The afternoon was spent having Negroni's on the dock at the river. The house is perfect- views are incredible, kitchen was obviously well stocked (the chef had no issues:-)), the master bed……

“The property is excellent! Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. It was clean warm and welcoming. It’s pet friendly though we didn’t travel with pets. Outstanding host!”

“Only bathroom was on 2nd floor so lots of stair climbing which was not ideal for us. Water pressure in bathroom sink was almost non existent but shower was ok. Bed mattress was very high which made getting in the bed difficult for shorter people. Kitchen did not appear to have any heat in it but based on time of year this was a not a big problem. House did have a gas odor I assume from the fireplace which we never did use”

“The stay was at a beautiful new home. Great host. Location close to Interstate 70. I had everything I needed. Took in the sights in DC via the Greenline Metro. I would definitely stay here again.”

“The house is private, modern and spacious with all of the necessary amenities and had a really well equipped kitchen for cooking in. There is a lovely little hiking trail just down the hill from the house and Harper's Ferry is not far and has countless outdoor activities- (including a brand new bungee jumping site) and lots of great place to eat.The River Country Store is even closer and is a great little stop to pick up food basics and gifts. We would definitely recommend the Blue Jay house for……

“This is a wonderful spot to stay when visiting Harpers Ferry. The hosts have thought of everything you could possibly need. Their home is neat, clean and convenient to all the things you want to do on a visit to the National Park. Although there were only two of us on this trip, the home could easily handle a family of 5. I would say that all you have to do is bring your toothbrush, but the hosts even supplied toothbrushes in the master bath! An incredible value.”
