Mother/Daughter Weekend

Perfect house for us to rejuvenate and reconnect. Crepe Myrtle House is charming, warm and inviting. The two bedrooms with attached bath were perfect for each of us to have our 'space'. Will definitely be back!

Perfect Getaway!

This adorable cottage had everything we needed for a great stay in Fredericksburg. The kitchen was well equipped, and had lots of snacks and breakfast items. The beds were comfortable and the layout was perfect for two couples, with each bedroom having its own bathroom. Even bath robes were provided! We felt really pampered. The outside area with the patio and seating area was nice also. We will definitely be back.

Crepe Myrtle Cottage getaway

Crepe Myrtle cottage is beautiful inside and out! If you like antiques, you will be in heaven. The comfortable beds and the upholstered chairs are all adorned with beautiful old fashioned style fabrics. Beautiful pictures and nic-nacks in every room as well as a coocoo clock. A fully furnished kitchen and a grill in the back yard makes it easy to stay home and cook.

The house was perfect for 4 women coming back together after many years. We were very comfortable, sat at the kitchen table, hung out in the living room and even had snacks/dinner outside in the patio. Beds were great, loved all the extra snacks left for us and in the fridge. Even the touches of bath items. - Perfect home for our Wknd get-together. Thanks!

Crepe Myrtle Cottage Review

The Crepe Myrtle Cottage is absolutely 100% delightful. The owners have done an outstanding job updating the home but preserving the cozy German feel. The one thing we could not get over during our stay was how well appointed the cottage is. The owners have really thought of every little thing you could need or might want. The cottage was REMARKABLY clean, and a guest had just left hours before! Check in was so easy and professional, and check out was just as simple. There was no long to do list for check out, which just helped our vacation spirit extend just a little longer! The rooms are very large, and having two bathrooms en-suite was absolutely wonderful! We were just blown away by the quality and care of this wonderful little cottage, and we can not WAIT to return! Thank you so much, Gastehaus Schmidt, and thank you Kristin for a lovely home to rest in!

I wasn't sure if one is great or five was great. The place was very pretty and nice. One of my musicians stayed the first night and called it luxurious. My mom and my sister stayed the second night and they loved it. My bed was great and I slept really well which is important when you're playing several band jobs. I do need to apologize for leaving some food in the fridge. I needed to get to my stage. The only thing to make the place better would be to put in an oval handicap toilet in the master bathroom. Crepe Myrtle Cottage was perfect for 4 long time women friends for a weekend getaway! The neighborhood was quiet and within easy driving distance to the restaurants we enjoy. The cottage was appointed with everything we needed.

Mommy/Daughter weekend getaway

We had such a wonderful time staying in this precious house! There were four of us (two moms and two college daughters) and the house was absolutely perfect for relaxing, cooking and just hanging out. Super close (walking distance) to Main Street but tucked away a couple of blocks away from the hustle and bustle. We are definitely coming back to this location! PS - beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking.

Great for a girls' weekend

I stayed here withbw of my friends for a long weekend. The house was conveniently located and within walking distance to main street. The cottage was very clean and nicely prepared for guests with touches like a snack basket and an itinerary of live music in the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Inconvenient to have to get a key from mgmt instead of a lock box. The lady in office was not warm and welcoming . Maybe because it was the end of day and she as ready to go home. The house was great.

Very cozy B&B - enjoyed it with the exception of the tiny toilet in the back bedroom. It was so low to the floor it was difficult for a 71 year old to navigate! There were 3 of us and I took this room. Other friends with me were 74 & 75. We enjoyed the stay but maybe a new toilet is warranted? Thank you!!!

Great location! So cute!

I stayed here with my mother, my cousing and my aunt. We had a little girls weekend get-away. The house is so charming and located just a couple of blocks from Main Street. I especially appreciated the little extras like a water filter pitcher and snacks. I would definitely stay here again!

Cute cottage and great location

This was a cute cottage and very clean. I stayed with my mom, sister and niece (all 18+) and we all were happy with our choice to stay here. Everything we needed was provided. I would stay here again and would recommend to friends as well.
