We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again! The cottage was quiet, cozy, and had everything we needed and more. I especially loved relaxing on the back porch with a cup of coffee and watching the local wildlife. It was the perfect peaceful getaway.

A restful retreat in a quiet community. A well appointed cabin with snacks, juice, and tons of helpful information to learn more about Fredericksburg. I couldn't ask for a better place to stay!

We had such a delightful time at this wonderful little cottage. The property was clean. Instructions for everything were made clear and easy. We got to wake up and see deer eating 10 feet away from us. And the butterflies flitting around our front as you walk in really gives this cottage a magical touch. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. The location is just a few minutes away from Main Street, but on the edge of country. We enjoyed our evening visits from deer, which we were able to feed with corn, provided by our host. The place was well kept, clean and had most everything we needed to cook, eat with and sleep comfortably. If we visit Fredericksburg again, we’ll definitely arrange to stay here.

The stay was great. I did exactly what I had intended to do and that was absolutely nothing. Really enjoyed feeding the deer (corn provided). Just about everything was provided, snacks, some juices, cooking and eating utensils, you name it. The owners were right next door but you really didn’t know it. Great stay, can’t wait to book again.

Lovely & peaceful

This is a lovely, nicely furnished cottage that is perfect for two. If mornings with coffee, or evenings with a glass of wine spent on the back porch with deer and birds to keep you company appeals to you, you’ll love this cottage. And it’s only a 5 minute drive to the historic Main Street. We loved our stay!

Olivia and I truly enjoyed our stay, near to town and far enough out to be truly peaceful. Accommodations are excellent. The Hosts had all things in order. I did think I needed to set my alarm however; the deer were always waiting on me for those little magic yellow pellets at the back porch.

Amazing place to stay!

The Samples are amazing host! They thought of everything you would need. The Samples are very detail people and their hospitality is superb. We enjoyed the quietness of the property, feeding the deer and the comforts of home, and so close to Main Street! My husband and I will be visiting the Samples again.
